Avec le récent scandal impliquant le budget gouvernemental, j'ai décidé de me présenter pour un poste au Congrès du Québec. Je considère qu'il est maintenant temps pour moi d'aider mon pays à se remettre sur le droit chemin.

La plupart de vous me connaissez déjà, et savez que je tente d'amener de la crédibilité et de l'efficacité au sein du gouvernement. Je suis présentement Sous-Ministre aux Communications ainsi que Sergent dans le 10e Régiment et j'ai accompli mes tâches avec respect et ardeur.

Si vous choisissez de m'élire, voici mes 3 engagements:

Apporter une plus grande transparence - Je vous garantie d'utiliser ce journal afin de présenter un compte rendu des discussions se déroulant au Congrès. La seule exception est que je ne tiendrai pas de propos sur les sujets de sécurité nationale. D'autre part, je travaillerai afin d'éviter qu'aucun n'élu ne soit au coeur d'un conflit d'intérêt.

Assurer l'unité canadienne - Je continuerai de travailler afin que le français obtienne son juste titre de langue officielle. J'aiderai mes collègues Québécois intéressés à s'impliquer au Canada à faire leur place. Je tenterai de mettre fin aux querelles puérils ayant actuellement lieu entre les partis afin que le gouvernement devienne un lieu d'initiatives.

Faire du eCanada un pays fort - Je veux aider les nouveaux citoyens à mieux s'intégrer au sein du eCanada. Je veux m'assurer que les citoyens deviennent des élément actifs du pays.

Je terminerai en remerciant les membres du 10e Régiment. Si je suis élu, je devrai quitter cette organisation qui m'a tout appris. Merci à mes compagnons de m'avoir rendu si fier au point de pouvoir les considérer comme des frères.

With the recent scandal involving the government budget, I've decided to become a candidate for a seat in Congress. I think the time has come for me to help my country get back on track.

Most of you already know me and know that I try to bring credibility and effectiveness in all governmental activities. I am currently Deputy Minister for Communications and Sergeant in the 10th Regiment, and I have fulfilled my duties with respect and dedication.

If you choose to elect me, here are my 3 commitments:

Providing greater transparency - I will use this newspaper to present an account of the discussions taking place in Congress. The only exception is that I will not do so when national security is on the subject. Furthermore, I will make sure that any elected official is not in the middle of a conflict of interest.

Ensure Canadian Unity - I will help my fellow Quebecers interested in getting involved in Canada in order for them to become active members of our society. I will try to end the current childish bickering between parties so the government becomes a place of action. I will continue to work so that french becomes an official language.

Making eCanada a stronger nation - I want to help new citizens become more involved within eCanada. I want to make sure that these newcomers become active elements of the country.

I want to conclude this message by thanking the members of the 10th Platoon. If I'm elected, I will be forced to leave this great institution that taught me everything that I know. I would like to thank all my fellow soldiers whom I'm now proud to call them brothers.
