Objectives: Secure Queen Elizabeth Bridge over River Lagan on the from the east after securing road from Belfast City Airport. Control of bridge(s) necessary to secure route to City Hall for secondary units. Once bridge is secure and reinforcements arrive, secondary objective(s) of Lagan Bridge and Isle of Mann Ferry Terminal are to be secured. Mission underway 12:00 hours, day 816.

Action: Queen Elizabeth Bridge secured with minimal resistance by 12:30 hours. Took small arms fire from area of Laganside Bus Centre. Squad sent to suppress resistance, took two enemy POWs. Control of bridge handed over to reinforcements at 12:49 hours. Unit approached Lagan Bridge from east and west simultaneously. No resistance met. Bridge cleared of demolition charges by 1:00 hours. Charges not completely set on bridge. Once Lagan Bridge secures immediately took heavy fire from ferry terminal. Norwegian forces using terminal as means of retreat. Received small arms and anti tank rounds. All squads returned fire. Expended several anti tank rounds at ferry terminal wherein activity by enemy ceased. Heavy damage to terminal. Minor damage to bridge. Terminal was secured by 1:36 hours. Several Norwegian officers captured along with 20-30 enlisted. Several minor wounds received. No casualties.

Summary: Unit performed well above expectations. All objectives secured. Request more anti tank weapons.
