DoD Release: State of the Forces

Day 695, 23:59 Published in Ireland Ireland by Irish Department of Defence

Greetings to President Patton, Field Marshals, Generals and fellow Brutes, Brutettes and Baby Brutes. Current IDF Force Strength is at 143 personnel. I had intended to force-shape the ranks and split the divisions but we are just shy of the numbers needed to do so.

Our current numbers are as such;

Reserves (Division 1) – CO CoS Colonel Conor Larkin
57 personnel [39% of Force]*

Home Guard (Division 2) – CO Colonel Kit Fisto
20 personnel [14% of Force]*

Rangers (Division 3) – CO – General Edfluff
19 personnel [13% of Force]*

Regulars (Division 4) – CO – General Padraig_Pearse
19 personnel [13% of Force]*

Regulars (Division 5) – CO – Colonel Ian Arbuckle
16 personnel [11% of Force]*

Special Warfare (Division 6) – CO General Castaneda
12 personnel [8% of Force]*

The Bottom Line
We are on the cusp of expansion, but it is clear we need to push ahead with recruitment. At least one third of the Home Guard via the Dail is missing and the regulars should easily be twice their current numbers. At present our Force is nearly half personnel under strength 5; while I am grateful and proud of the enthusiasm of our younger citizens to serve Eire, I am woefully disappointed in our elder population.

We are all soldiers of Eire, this is true. Some focus more on the pen than the sword; understood…

“The Pen is Mightier than the Sword, but no match for a Gun…”

Where are you Ireland?

Your duty calls you…

Will you answer?
