Hello,

Over the last 48hours many changes have happened to the IDF, and many more are to come, firstly we have deployed 2 units to Norway to assist where possible, we have also tested our new system of deploying weapons and tickets to our troops.

The new weapon distribution method has worked really well, one or two hickups, but given things were hashed together quickly, with only 3 people distributing weapons, we did very very well.

We are in the process of finishing up plans for the next incarnation of the IDF, this will take us forward into v2, but also be fully workable under the current climate of v1, major changes will happen over the weekend.

What will this mean for you? Na Fianna for now will have no changes, However everyone else will find themselves merged into one of four divisions, each division representing a weapon type of v2. For now you dont have to decide, or worry too much about which division you are in, or what weapon type you will use in v2, this will all be discussed and planned after we get everyone moved.

Each division will be assigned new leaders, some divisons will be people you have had before, others may be new people, these people will be assigned to give you weapons when they are being given out, via the in game channel. Note that under v1 mechanics, weapons will be provided from all leaders, under v2 mechanics, you will only get the weapons from your division leaders, the MoD, or CoS.

Full publication of who is going where, will be made avalible once we have merged the groups.

Once this is complete, we will be ready for v2, but more importantly, we will have an army where gaining weapons, tickets, etc during times of war is very very easy.

So, what can you do for Ireland? Well currently we have 4 Weapons company's looking for workers, these company's provide you with your guns, meaning if there are no guns being produced, you dont get free weapons. So, there are many jobs going, simply look at the job market under 0 skill, and apply, the state company will provide you with the same wages you currently receive, just apply and mail the ORG with what wages you were on. We are looking for 10 workers per company, and aim to have all positions filled asap! So please, work for the state.

And finally, everyone will be pleased to know, there will be some amazing new logos for each divsion, aswell as logos to go into your avatars, and signatures for your posts and forums!
