Docdubya for Oklahoma!

My First Rx:

Docdubya for Oklahoma!

I hereby announce my candidacy for congress in the great state of Oklahoma on the Libertarian ticket.

My hope is representing all of you in Congress - listening to each and every citizen when they have hopes/concerns/opinions and using them to help make my decisions for votes in the eCongress.

Taxes:

One thing I will promote is lower taxes whenever possible - especially when it comes to helping eUSA citizens by promoting our own country's goods. I'm a huge fan of capitalism and you can bet that's where most of my votes will lean. I do feel, though, that some programs are a "necessary evil" and I will do my best for you to learn about the issues to the point that I make informed decisions in the eUS's best interests.

War Games:

I DO support the war games effort our current President’s administration has so strongly supported and implemented. It not only helps with training - it helps with getting your health back to 100 if you ensure you fight only to a health that still is >50 (i.e., in a Q5 hospital state). Again - this goes back to capitalism: your work productivity at health 100 will help eUS companies AND help you - because most company general managers like to reward the employees that consistently produce at a higher level.

Some will say they are a "waste of time" - which is an opinion that can't be argued against; some will say they're too costly - but, as I said - the productivity COULD be higher with the correct fight/hospital/health strategy which increases products and, thus, money - then increasing our "war chest" to use an over-used term and saving in the long (AND short) term.

Alliances/Mutual Protection Pacts:

My stance on MPPs has multiple facets: a nation that has both shown in its history that it can be trusted and is also a nation that is mutually beneficial for us to “protect” is a nation with which we could consider an MPP. I also feel, though, that perhaps smaller alliances may be better – I’m not so extreme as to say we should stay out of ALL “entangling alliances,” but I feel that world-wide humongous alliances can get difficult to keep in place and can collapse within hours (as I think most of us have seen).

Meals on Wheels:

About MoW - it's been something I've been thinking of since I first heard of it when I started the game. I didn't sign up for it mainly because I never heard about it until late level 2 or level 3 or something and by then I was buying nothing less than level 2 food. It may've been nice, certainly - and it certainly is a great way to keep us from needing to raise the minimum wage (which I'd like to address next). It has a great problem, though, in the fact that folks STILL wait for way too long a time to get enrolled and in the system for their food (and again, I'm not receiving it, I only speak from what others say in irc or on forums). The problem, from my understanding per the scrabman administration, however, is improving - the food has been getting out, the folks are getting enrolled. I hope that we can continue to monitor this - I hope that I would be allowed to be placed on an oversight committee and this be something I am able to keep a close watch on. I'm very scrupulous with my personal expenses and would think we need to be with the eUS's as well.

The minimum wage:

It’s possible I am losing votes with this statement as this isn't your typical stance when trying to get elected.... but I am NOT for increasing the minimum wage. The minimum wage at 1 USD along with the improving Meals on Wheels (MoW) program is a great way to get started on your way to increasing your levels and skill rating. Increasing the Min Wage gets sticky due to our high rate of turnover in eUS - a LOT of folks that start the game quit - they play once or twice and the increased min wage money goes to their accounts and sits - getting lost. This causes this money to be "lost" so to speak. The money won't get reinvested into the economy and creates a type of stagnation if it were to happen on a large scale. Again - I know "less money" is never a popular decision - but it's one I feel helps the greater good if you consider the points I've mentioned.

I ask that you support me in the run for Congress and welcome any messages or comments.
