To my dismay I've discovered that a lot of IA'ers are well connected to DB, so you might as well just keep BLF. IA used to have its own identity.

Wil, DB is not a party, but a group of people who is not politically inclined but militarily. Do not confuse yourself with DB and DB-PF.

You're just fooling yourselves. Political conversations go around in DB as much as everything else. Look at DB's moves over the last few months. They have people in just about every party.

Did Wil just contradict himself? First he says that a lot of IAers are DB, so should just stay as the BLF (as if the DB and BLF are the same). Then he says DBers are in every party (which is true), so does that mean we are all BLF?

Indeed, the individual-state relationship is often controversial. DB is eSA's aristocracy. Whether it's a good or bad thing...it's up to you guys 😉

We are aristocracy? Not sure if that is a compliment or insult, considering the views of our members and the fact that only about 25% of our active members even play eR anymore. It also must be easy to be aristocracy in eSA since we let just about anyone in.

BTW, you are registered on the DB forum and listed as a basic member, Wil, so I'm not sure why you are talking about us as if you are an outsider. I saw you on the forum today, as a matter of fact.

To be honest, I've forgotten the past few years that I was fully registered. I also don't associate myself with DB nor posted much outside my initial membership request mid-2011. I had to ask Mark Morcom and Nickerball yesterday to give me DB's forum link. And as I mentioned, aristocracy isn't necessarily a bad thing, for me, being the opposition, it's bad...but the rest of eSA might find it beneficial to become part of an inter-party group.

So why did you have to lie to get the link Wil? Or did I misunderstand when you said you had no access since you lost the link in February?

Indeed I had the link on my old Hard drive somewhere. I lost the link because that same old HDD broke. Links are often saved in form of "cookies" on your PC. I also bookmarked it, so I had it. "Ek is al lankal daar, ek sien elke gesprek... " Ek bedoel ek het access tot die volle boards nie dat ek fisies elke gesprek oplees nie. 😉

I don't care for mama Nicker's anti-BLF rhetoric, but I do agree that IA should be IA. Sure it was nice of Claudio to bring that glorious old party back to the mainstream, but the IA is only a shadow of what the BLF was and even though it was founded by moderate BLFers, it does not share the BLF's heritage and history.

BLF is a ghost from the past Jizzie, it was a nice try from Claudio, but in the end it did not work. I agree with you. IA can never be what BLF was, but so can BLF never be IA. Was a wrong move.

BLF can never be IA and never wanted to be. No BLF founder ever joined the IA and most of the BLFers who founded the IA are not in it anymore (or eR for that matter). Claudio wasn't around when BLF was here, so he didn't know any of that. I think he meant well, but didn't really think about what he was doing.

I was trying to get a reaction. I was hoping there'd be enough outcry that I'd be forced to change it back.

Who is IA? Who is BLF? I know they are parties, but who are they and why this altercation?

I miss the IA. I wasn't ever very active but its the party I joined when I first came to eSA and it seemed right. When the IA was around I was proud to be in a party, now its not, I think I am in a party for the sake of it.

I'm glad someone finally spoke up. I mean dude PTO's a party and no one seemed to care.
