Do we have a traitor in our midst?
VoodooMike71
Here’s an interesting little conundrum for you to mull over.
As you may know, I stupidly proposed a stupid law to Congress yesterday. The proposal was to increase the eUK’s minimum wage to 100cc. I know, stupid right?
Why on earth would you do something that stupid?
I had a very specific reason. Ser Fartsalot, Wayne Kerr and Neil Lewis had been arguing with each other (Serf and Wayne vs Neil) on the Congress thread ever since Alex became our new CP. Everyone else was sick of it, and several people - including me - had tried to bring the argument to an end. But to no avail…
The squabbling raged on and Congress was consumed by it. No other Congress business was getting done, nothing else was being discussed.
So I decided to raise a stupid law to put in front of Congress, the idea being that - hopefully - they’d stop arguing about Serf, Wayne and Neil, and talk about something else instead.
So I made the proposal, and then jumped straight onto the Congress thread to announce it, thinking I was making it clear that this was essentially a fake proposal…
After I posted the message, I went back to the law page and voted NO. Interestingly, in the three minutes or so since I’d proposed the law, two other Congressmen had already voted on it. To my astonishment, they’d voted YES...
My NO vote was the third vote cast
You may ask why I chose to take a screenshot at this point. Because straight away I could see trouble coming - a danger immediately spotted by WookieO in Congress.
There may be trouble ahead…
I only wish I’d taken the screenshot a few moment earlier, before I’d click NO.
Subsequently all hell broke loose, and congress soon started voting yes in alarming numbers. Predictably, Ser Fartsalot and Wayne Kerr jumped on this and used it to attack me (and have been banging on about it ever since). Fair enough - I deserved it.
Ser Fartsalot and Wayne Kerr live up to their names
Then Ser Fartsalot made a very interesting statement. He said he saw the vote at 1-0 to YES, and claimed that this meant I must have voted YES myself - because I was deliberately trying to undermine Alex’s CP term.
Not only is this factually incorrect, it’s logically incorrect too. The fact that I proposed the law doesn’t mean that I was the first to vote on it. So I corrected Serf’s mistake and restated my comment to Congress about not voting for the proposal…
And this is where the conundrum lies. Consider this…
1. The first person voted (YES) on the proposal
2. Ser Fartsalot arrived at the vote, and saw that it was 1-0
3. I arrived, saw that TWO people had voted yes, and cast the third vote (NO)
So who cast the second YES vote?
Of course, logically speaking, there’s nothing to show that Ser Fartsalot cast a yes vote, or indeed any vote at all. But I do find it interesting that someone with a clear agenda to try and take me down has admitted to being in the voting area in the three minute period between the first and third votes being cast.
In the interests of fairness I asked Ser Fartsalot, in public, which way he voted. Normally he jumps on my comments within minutes of me making them. So far, a few hours later, he has failed to respond to this one.
So there you have it. I’ll let you draw your own conclusions from the information I’ve posted here. But please asked yourselves, who is the real traitor here? Me - for proposing a daft law for a very specific reason and then asking people not to vote for it, or Ser Fartsalot - who some might suggest is up to no good?

PS Thankfully the proposal failed earlier today, but only by 19 votes to 16. Sixteen of your congressmen voted YES to this ridiculous proposal.
PPS I've learnt my lesson. Never again will I propose a stupid law on the assumption that Congress will throw it out.
That's heartwarming to hear 🙂
Thanks for that clarification, I was very concerned as to what was going on in your head at the time.
No problem. I'm happy to make myself slightly less stupid than I looked before 🙂
stop being a bitch
Hello. And you are...?
Not a bitch.
Reallly? You sound pretty bitchy to me.
I'm not the one crying.
No tears, just explanations and questions.
bitchy questions no less
bitches love cannons
Propose a stupid law, vote for it the first (as all other proposers do) but claim those who voted NO were the ones who voted YES... VoodooMike's demagogy in a nutshell.
I was the first one who voted NO, that's how I know the first vote was YES, derp.
This guy wants to be PP? Just after he tried to ruin our income?
Clearly you weaved your magic and hid your NO vote then. Nice trick.
The fact remains that I voted NO at a point when only two votes had been cast, neither of which were NO.
Ultimately, we can turn this into a game of "Yes I did. No you didn't", but we won't get anywhere. I've been completely open about my actions - and backed it up with as much proof as I can - so I'm leaving it there. You can do or say as you please. then anyone who cares can make their judgement.
Have some decency Mike... We all know you're trying to overthrow our Dear Leader.
LOL, and I'm the demagogue here? I prefer to think of myself as an agitator. Think of me as Trotsky, to your Rasputin.
At least the ladies are crazy about me. Enjoy your burrito.
The fact you mention at the end of your article you have no proof SerFartsalot did anything untoward at all undermines your whole article.
You have a bit of cheek calling those Congress members that voted Yes stupid when it was you who presented the opportunity in the first place.
I like you VoodooMike71, but it really does seem you're trying to save face.
Believe me, I wish I'd never proposed the bloody law in the first place - I certainly won't do anything like that again. However having done it this time, I think it's only right I explain my actions and say what I think went on.
OK everyone stick their head in the oven or jump off a cliff
So let's see how many actually do it - it will be my fault after all for suggesting it
Look Mum...it's another WookieO quote!
Pfft don't be daft, Gali's clearly the traitor.

Don't give away our super sekrit group message!
I blame Jamesw
Traitor?
Obviously the person that tried to take down the commune system by proposing a 100cc minimum wage
Are you having problems reading?
No problem reading, just a problem believing that it wasn't deliberate
Fair enough. Everyone is entitled to draw their own conclusions and there's not a lot more I can say to change your mind.
Out of interest, what do you suspect my motives were for undermining the commune system? For what it's worth, I should point out that I work for a commune myself.
I gave up trying to assign rational motives to people's actions years ago.
OK. Well there's not a lot more I can do to convince you that I'm on the level, other that reiterate that I told the truth about my reasons in the article.
Dear Congress members may I take a minute of your time to point out that the flabby thing you sit on is your arse, and the part of the arm that bends when you sup a pint is your elbow. Hope that helps.
Horice 😉
