涨VAT对于自给自足的工厂主没啥太大影响吧？对于打工族来说可就郁闷了。
I don't think it good to increase VAT. It affects little to those company owners who can feed themselves. But to those working people, it is not so fair.

If you raise minimume wage, the companies will raise the cost of their product. They will also reduce the salary of the higher end workers to compensate.

I think company owners ususally pay salary according to workers' productivity. This is a consensus around the e-world. If they reduce the salary of the higher workers, workers may leave the company; if they raise price at their own willing, they'll lose market.

In fact, raising minimum wage won't affect too much to the companies which own higher level workers. The workers get their deserved pay.

Raising minimum wage is avoid tax evasion and protect workers from too much exploitation.

Just the fact that newbies' productivity worth less then 6kpw and if it is the min. salary no one except charity company would offer jobs to them and history of the time ruled by russia would repeated and new citizen can't start their elife in nk.

and to those who own their company, they don't need to pay any salary tax when they work. at the same time, vat is needed when they want to take out their product from their company via market.

also, in current environment i dont think factory owners would join their own company because doing so would made them can't work again as a manager in the company.

I can't agree that.
We're lack of labor for months. Even newbies are valuable to local companies. And the new players grow really fast nowadays. A good minimum wage won't hurt them.

so the min. wage should be lower then 5.22kpw IMHO because that is the current highest salary offer in NK SK1 job market.

p.s. just check the job market, and find that the job offer for guru* people in NK provide more salary then eC's job offer at same level. NK highest 1-star guru* job offer is 19.Xkpw, whereas eC highest level 1 guru* job offer only provide 15.Xcny.

So is 5KPW OK? IMHO, 1 KPW is really too low.

Not long before, 1KPW = 0.014G, 1CNY = 0.02G, the highest salary is still not that high. It is another prove of our lacking of labor. eChina has too many high level workers, the salaries for guru* are not that high.

Raising the MW only will make prices go up. This meassure won't help against tax evasion, It even will make this problem worse.

Raising MW makes price up only if companies pay workers with MW. This is not the situation in our country.

OK, I realised that we don't have noobs nomore, my mistake. Anyway, I would like to pint this fro the article:

Since company owners can work for themselves, they can offer themselves minium wages. This is a way to skip tax, I'm afraid. The more companies they have, the more tax evasion it will be.

Therefore what we are doing here is give more money to the managers increasing tax evasion.

I think 4 or 5 kpw is suitable.

When they pay themselves with mw, they skip income tax. Raising mw will save some loss.

first of all, it is proved that when company manager work for their company, no salary tax needed to pay (as stated by taiwan ministry of education), it is game's design and we cant change it. And increasing min. wage just mean, if some boss had discussed with their employee, and paying as few as possible salary via in-game system and remaining part of the salary via donation so that part of salary does not need to pay tax, the part of salary needed to passes through in-game system and thus need to pay tax would then be more, and therefore NK government can get more tax income. and the game's min. wage is just a law that ask factory owner to pay at least n dollar to their employee instead of government subside at least n dollar as salary.

5 kpw of MW will increase all wages and therefore we will hae a increase of prices, inflaction si called, and works in RL as well in eR. Sorry dudes, but I thik this measure is a huge mistake.

MW won't affect all other wages. Wages are paid according to productivity. I think c933103 explained it clearly.

the math goes like this, if 5kpw are the wage paid for 0 skill, then for 1 would be 6, for 2 7, and so foth (is a simplyfied version of the history, but I hope you get it). More money put by the bussinessmen/women, means that the producction will have more cost, therefore products would rise.

The problem is really difficult to solve right now, because none of us have any clue about what's going to happend. The thing that I would do at the moment is to raise import taxes all arround, but this is not the matter of this discussion.

You don't need 10 workers anymore to have the best productivity. Hiring a newbie with a higher minimum wage would means employing this newbie is a net loss for the company. Result: newbies simply won't be employed.

An active government with people seeking out new players.

Companies can pick up newbies by offering better incentives. One idea is provide them a lower wage, but give them daily food to make up the salary. Newbies can get gold from maps, but they can't exchange that gold for currency until a later level.

Except that there's plenty of jobs available, and the Ministry of Employment exists to make sure that level 1, 2, and 3 skill jobs always exist. They may pay minimum wage, but at least they won't lose out on hard worker medals and skill-ups.

Only certain taxes need to be raised.

Import taxes on popular manufactured goods (like food) are worth having slightly higher import taxes on. However, cases like grain need to have either the minimum, or a very low tax in order to make sure there are plenty of resources to keep our companies active.

I would consider raising Income Taxes instead of Import Taxes.

Raising the minimum wage too high is dangerous because it sets the other skills' salaries at a rising minimum, a bit like Strasser mentioned.

You need salaries to be flexible because the value of everything changes. If the admins would stop screwing around with the economy module, we could figure something out. At this time however, its too risky.

Besides, newbies level out of the lower skills quickly, so setting a minimum wage higher for people who will only be that skill level less than a week, is really only hurting the economy.

Newbies need guidance, not wages.

I want to say to Kaige's statement. I don't think we should ever have an instance where Import tax is LOWER then income tax. That is why i think we should rebalance our tax across the board.

Companies aren't going to cut the wages of their experienced workers t compensate for the minimum wage raise at all. I (the lvl 11 Guru) should know this better than anybody. Why would you hire (and overpay) and unskilled worker when you can hire a select few highly experienced workers? Raising minimum wage is only going to hurt us in our current not so amazing economic state. This is because employers simply will not hire unskilled works if they have to pay them more than what they will produce. No employer wants to lose money, and that is precisely what this will do. So now unemployment will rise, and our population will ultimately decrease. That means less citizens, which means less taxpayers, which also by the way means we the government will have less annual income. All in all, a minimum wage raise is not a good idea.

1. MW have no relation to tax
2. If MW level is below the salary usually offered to level 1 problem, then that change shouldn't cause any trouble except those dont want to pay tax, because usual people's wage, even newbie, still higher then MW, so there aren't going to be any wage adjustment.
