Different ideas

Are we really so different?



I caught many times my self wondering how different we are. All the times the answer was “we are not” I wrote it in an article more than 1 year ago that we have common dreams fears and thoughts and I still believe that. But having different ideas is something else…

Of curse in a community and I will take as example eRomania which is made from many players there are many voices. This is the only difference, many voices but more or less for the same cause. The cause is most of the times the personal
e-evolution of our game character. We all want to have more strength, rank, gold, cc but each one is doing that with his own way. Some people are spending real money here (me as an example) when others work hard with trade and black market my friend fairgr is one of them. Some are pure tanks like amvlad winning rank and in the same time we have guerilla fighters like clopoyaur which also wins more rank without tanking. The outcome in both cases is the same the only difference is the method.
So if the question was “should we change that?” my answer would be no because all of us made a different choice based on different ideas on the way of playing but for the same cause “Our improvement as players”.



In a fictional world such as the one in erepublik we have military units. All of them express the ideas of their members. Some times their actions are leading them to totally different paths. This can cause competition. Competition is that what makes all of us better both in real life and erepublik. Example of competition with military units you can see in tournaments. In this tournaments each military unit have its own strategy based on the different ideas and choices of its member.

Also you can see example of competition with political parties every month in elections. The thing with political parties is that they are the chief exponent for the diversity of our ideas. 95% of the people who belong in a political party are there because they are expressed from it. There is also another 5% that is there because of his/her friends. The fact is that we should accept every different opinion coming from the other parties and choose if we want to adopt it. We are not always correct…

Diversity is the word that can describe Foxland. On paper it is a military unit but this is far away from been totally correct. It is a place that many people from different countries coexist. People that live totally different life’s, people from 14 up to 40+. As you can easily understand there are many different opinions from players that are at war in this virtual world but inside there we are all friends respecting eachothers ideas.



Last example of diversity is me 🙂 You see I am a foreigner that’s why my articles are in English. I came from another country to eRomania I have some different opinions about many things. Most of the people here have accepted me with all my flaws. I have also learned their way and I am trying to blend here as much as I can. Well I have to say that this is not so easy for me and I also believe the same for the Romanians that I am talking every day. The benefit from this for me is huge. I am learning new things everyday and some times I feel like I am back to school 😛 .

More or less the fact that we have different ideas makes the world more interesting maybe some players should be more open-minded and enjoy their elifes.
