I did not write congress manifestos in a while but I have some time tonight so I will kill some time to write something before the congress election. This is not your traditional manifesto.
I am Konrad Neumann and I am running for congress under the Rec Belgica party.

In all honesty, I think congress manifestos as well as CP manifestos are rather pointless. They might be useful for new players trying to get into politics, but for established players, it is rather pointless for my manifesto should be that of my acts and track record. Well what you see is what you get for I will not be extremely HOPEful will silly promises that they cannot keep.. All I will offer is only realistic policy recommendations/ suggestions for debate and nothing more.
I do not believe in rhetoric. What is the point? For a long time we have seen rhetoric but not much on policies. No one will say they are for injustice and corruption etc. It does no service to here constant shouting that they are for justice and to combat corruption (which does not exist). What are they HOPEing for by doing this? I will not insult the intelligence of my constituency in dealing with policy only. For all can shout rhetoric, few can govern.
There are a lot of issues but I want to focus two issues that I care about greatly.
Foreign Policy
I follow a motto of no everlasting enemies and eternal friends; only mutual benefit. I believe we should be in COT as long as it is beneficial to the interest of the eBE state and community. In the indefinite future, I think COT is our best bet as we are one of the earliest members in this alliance. I am not convinced that we can join TWO or that TWO will offer us more security. Before we have any alternatives, we should remain in COT and do our best to aid our allies who are good to us. Neutrality is not an option and the last thing I want to see eBE is eNL under the van Spjick regime: alone and gunho.
Immigration Policy
I invite all to read my article Charm Offensive which deals a bit in foreign policy as well. I argue that we should not promote a babyboom and to allow willy nilly open door policy. We need major immigration reforms. If we look at population growth in eBE, it is mostly based on the IRC. Foreign diplomats and citizens are charmed by our community and decided to emirate to our country. It is through our IRC that we got most of our new and trusted citizens. This is not the fastest way of growth but it is safe and gives both the community and the immigrant a chance to learn and to get to know each other. With this "charm" base immigration, we can change our immigration laws. We can reduce the wait time and reduce the overly complicated system to a more workable streamline model.
Personal Promise
Lastly, this is a personal promise, a promise to you and to myself. It is not policy related but something I would like to address anyways.
I am disappointed by a certain group of people who thinks they can bully me out of the country. I think they are petty, lame and pathetic. For they cannot debate the issue and have to rely on personal attacks and slander. So, consider this to be my Declaration of Defiance.
-I will not be bullied or shouted out of this country and community. I was, I am, and I will always be a part of this country and community and there is nothing you can do about it.
-I am proud of who I am and do not hide the fact that I am gay. I am proud of myself and my self realization, acceptance, and growth and no comments you can say can change it. You can continue to make stupid names like faggot, or comments like "put a shirt on" for it is meaningless to me. For I feel macho for being me. I do not need to bash minorities to feel "macho." I am more "man" than you will be.
-Lastly, I will continue to call you out on hypocrisy, bs, rhetoric, noise pollution, and political pornography.

and talk bad about van spijck is totally unjustified our friends from NL we support them and i not see the presidency from van spijck as a regime

So please do tell me from a policy stand point how van Spjick did not fail. eNL was alone and without an alliance. They left the sinking ship of EDEN and isolated themselves overall. They enacted a Rambo base policy in which they alone started many RW with little international support. He depleted the national treasury for 6 months and he let his nationalism and egotism preventing him from making a deal with the Poles.
Small countries like eBE and eNL needs an alliance like COT or TWO. They can never afford to stand alone. So instead of nitpicking, try to understand the themes and the key point that I am writing. Also it helps to have knowledge which you clearly do not.
GW, do not talk what you do not know. Are you active in Dutch politics? Do you even know any one in there to be honest? I can get Dutchman like ElGorro, Odan, Daniel Parker, Tim Veltkamp, Fhaemita, and many others to back my analysis of Dutch policy. Foreign policy and theory is my field so like I said, do not talk what you do not know.
eNL indeed has gone downhill ever since 1 person was in office for 6 months. I 100% agree with Konrad here.

GW, I like van_Spijck and have considered him a friend for a long time; however, it is true that eNL had a chance to make a deal with Poland while he was CP, and they chose not to do it, resulting in their continued occupation. It might be nice to have nationalistic feelings, but they do not serve small countries well when their bigger, stronger neighbors see something they want.

Sure I understand the urge to fight the oppressor. I was fighting in a RW this morning for another country that has been occupied for a long time. These countries truly have my sympathy. But principles don't win regions back. You have to be realistic. We all recognize that Belgium was fortunate not to get rare resources when Plato distributed them. But that makes it all the more necessary that countries make good decisions, and it seems that eNL did not.

Mannekin Piss, I think I do understand it, but what does national pride gain you if you are not able to change that pink to orange? Isn't it better to have some regions free than none? tbh, I am not a nationalist in RL, more so in game, but sometimes small countries do have to deal with realties. I would prefer my eCountry to have less national pride and more Congress, even if it means making a deal with the occupier.
VS had negotiated, but the Poles broke the treaty months back.
The matter of fact is: Western NL has oil, the Poles need oil, and that complicates things since they can't easily get oil elsewhere.
However, they should rent 2 Dutch regions instead of expecting a small country to pay CC 10000/month (as once suggested) or put CC 300.000 on a "security deposit"
You can see it both ways and that's why I won't express any criticism towards Van Spijck. Fact is that mighty Poland forced little eNL to choose between their pride and their wellness. Up to you to judge if it was a bad choice or not, it is solely subjective and based on your own priorities in the game. In my opinion I would prefer wellness and that's why I'm happy with the fate eBelgium built up for itself.
And call your self the duke from Northern NL , true only a aveugle will vote for you, for when you move to germany we will right the same texto and change only van spijk by Belgium

Never seen any alternative programs put forward by you or the people behind HOPE. Please post an article on how you would distribute the wealth of the state to the needy, with facts&figures, how you would sustain such a program, how you would protect the nation's treasury from those wanting to steal it and send it to their companions, do you have any new initiatives which would allow eBe citizens to grow easier in these economic barren times?
