Dictatorship

Dear citizens,

I would like to ask permission to start a Dictatorship. A few medals I'm missing.

All costs will be for me, starting and maintenance.

Liberation cost will also be at my expense.

For Congress, all elected Congress Members will receive 10G from me on next election.

Please leave a comment. I'd would like to start the plan tomorrow.

the past has shown that a temporary dictatorship of this kind doesn't have any permanent bad effects if handled correctly.

Are you comparing me to the the Stasi, in a game? You know this is a game, and not a political scene? By the way, the Stasi was in power in a what was a left-oriented country.

As you are bringing your real life ideological purity in to this game I can only assume you actually believe me to be a dictator and not a player who wants those 2 medals, to be Stasi as you call it. Pretty sad, no?

Dictators have practically all the power in the country. They can single-handedly pass any law with the exception of the law for changing the new citizen message and a law for impeaching the president.

While the president and congressmen don’t officially lose their positions, they are powerless as long as the dictator is ruling the country. The congressmen and the president cannot propose or vote any laws, or approve citizenship requests. The president also loses all the control in wars, campaigns etc. In short, their roles and positions are purely cosmetic.

New elections are held normally, but no gold is awarded for the elected congressmen or presidents.
