As a former USA ambassador to Croatia I have learn some stuff.
So I will try to illuminate the future employee of Department of State.
Before you even begin a career as MoFA you must become Deputy ambassador and then full ambassador.
Learn to communicate on the ambassador page from the country you get to assigned too.
Learn to use IRC,and become very active on channel.

So what the Department of State actually do?

First thing first,you must keep friendly relations with the eWorld.
Is this possible? Not all of course but you do need to talk with our direct neighbors and get a feel of what is going on with them.
Most important thing is to have contacts in different alliances.
At this moment that would be: TERRA-ONE-EDEN-LUNA.

Other returning task for the MoFA is the search for an MPP.
He then presents its findings to the CP and to Congress.
Congress then can vote for it when CP puts it to vote in game.
Last thing he has duty to deploy and support ambassadors who will represent our Country in the World.
That means searching people to become ambassador, motivating ambassadors and welcome foreign ambassadors in our country and show them around our forum and introduce them to our community.

Other important things!

*Make sure you are subscribed to the most important governmental newspapers.That wold be Government and MoD newspapers.
* Make for yourself a g doc or some other kind of document you can share. You can write the most interesting facts you learned on there.
* Motivate your ambassadors to go on the forum of their country and let them report interesting things. Try and go yourself too.Be nice and share no info that is important to your Country.
* Come on IRC and go on to different channels. If you introduce yourself in English most of the time there will be people who can answer you.
*Try to be ears and eyes of your Government.
