Declaration of candidacy for BEP Party President

Day 720, 02:31 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Lemuel Gengulfus

Hello folks and thank you in advance for taking the time to read this!

There are a few reasons why I’ve decided to put my name forward for the leadership of this most excellent party which I think I ought to outline before stating what I could bring to the role & party.

Firstly the BEP is a very friendly and brilliant “family” of a party. It is this closeness and laid-back attitude that sets us apart from some of the larger parties which have a very serious and closed clique of politicians at their head. However like every family, a strong parent is needed to impose the occasional bit of organisation & discipline which I think we now need if we are to become a serious force in Government.

Secondly the party needs to take the next step. We have been gently creeping up and over the 200 member mark under the guidance of STTG and DD, but I think that a very public change at top to a more energetic leadership will prove the spur towards 3rd place (or further!) that we need.

Finally we need to develop better relations with the main parties to push both for more cabinet posts and to ultimately increase our influence nationally and field a credible Presidential candidate on a regular basis. To achieve this, I think that a fresh face at the head of the party is needed and will allow the BEP to push our more experienced members (such as Dan, Clash, DD & STTG) forward for cabinet roles whilst the PP is left to network & media manage.

So why me for PP?

Well I have already served 2 congress terms for London, narrowly missing out on a 3rd consecutive term – London is one the most competitive constituencies to contest and the number of votes that I have managed to gain from such names as Dillthedog, Uk’s Finest and Vinners shows I have a high level of popular support at regional level, which I believe I could gain nationally.

Additionally I already hold a number of strategically useful positions. I am Vice-Chairman of the London Regional Council and it’s Welcome’s Councillor. I have also, along with Dan, been appointed to the military recruitment office. Both these positions allow me first dibs on a lot of new citizens and I have used this to recruit a number of new players to the BEP. They also give me sufficient respectability and influence to act as a credible party president both internally and nationally.

I also am fairly media savvy with a well-subscribed (and NNA Bronze Medal winning) regional newspaper which receives a weekly mention in the National Newspaper Update. Plus I have decent personal relations with, amongst others, Karacticus, UKs Finest, Necrosis and Mr.Woldy.

Finally I think I have the organisational and creative skills to manage the party – I plan, with your help, to slightly reorganise the party to make it more efficient so the BEP can grow into the national force we believe it should be. I look forward to your comments, suggestions and (hopefully) your votes!

Thanks for your time,

LG
