Days 40-43 - Spain Expelled from South America, Serbia Continues to Lose!

Days 40-43

North America
So here the United States sits. There is no more Hungary. The United States is only occupied by 3 nations now. Spain, Poland, and Serbia occupy America.
Serbia, has had an incredibly hard time holding onto what they have conquered. California, Arizona, Nevada have all fallen to the Serbs, and all have subsequently been liberated by the American Resistance. Serbia has continued to pound the American coast however, and since the United States has been unable to regain initiative, they will be destined to win by resistance war, and not by conventional battle.
With the ejection of Hungary, Poland is now the dominant force in North America. There has been countless resistance wars, and just recently, the Americans put a fair amount of resources into New York. It was a battle that they lost, and further illustrates the difficulty that America (and TERRA/EDEN as a whole) has had with taking on Poland. They simply refuse to lose. It will take a concentrated effort, on just a few regions to finally gain a victory against Poland.
The assault on the Spanish held states has slackened. As more of America’s soldiers return to the states to defend against Serbia, Spain has fallen to the wayside as a primary target of the American Resistance. It seems as if America is more focused on keeping Serbia pinned down on the West Coast than they are in liberating the East Coast. With this lack of focus on the Spaniards, they have conquered both Illinois, and Georgia, after they repelled an attack on Missouri.

South America
Argentina did it. They finally kicked Spain out of South America. This is a massive victory for TERRA/EDEN. The ejection of Spain from South America, means that the biggest threat to the region is a ONE affiliated Peru, and a Serbian PTO’d New Zealand. Peru cannot stand against Argentina or Brazil 1v1, without allied support. This was shown earlier, when Peru, Brazil and Argentina initially tangled. As soon as Peru wasn’t supported, TERRA/EDEN was able to secure victories. New Zealand was PTO’d by Serbia, almost immediately after they were created. This has led to yet another ONE presence in the Oceania/South America region.
With the lack of a Spanish presence, or a dominant ONE presence at all, this region now becomes TERRA’s stronghold of sorts. Brazil is now free to tank any allied battle, as they have no real battles of their own to worry about. Even Argentina, although they left TERRA, is now liberated, and still has good relations with many of TERRAs nations. This is one of the more promising things to happen to the TERRA/EDEN alliance in about 2 months.

Europe
Two surprising moves here. First was Germany, in that they were re-wiped. The free German states, had been allowed to stay pretty much untouched for the past month or so. However, Poland decided that they had had enough, and proceeded to wipe the remaining German regions.
The second, is Croatia. After being better back by Slovakia, and Austria, the Croatians have rallied, and had a bit of a resurgence. They have conquered Western and Central Slovakia, and once again share a border with Poland. The Poles have taken this opportunity to declared Croatia as Natural Enemy. The Polish may be pressing their luck here. They are clearly going for a wipe of Croatia, no other reason seems likely. However, Croatia (in my opinion), has the advantage, because they can purposefully lose a region to Resistance War, and cutoff the Polish advance. Plus, Croatia is a stronger nation 1v1 than Poland is. Although Poland has a much larger population. This is an interesting war.

Asia
At long last we come to Asia. The Continent that may end up costing ONE everything. Poland, and Serbia have taken heavy losses here.
Serbia’s, came at the hands of Russia, and TERRA/EDEN. They liberated Moscow and Central Russia from Serbia. It was a rousing battle, and a massive victory for the Allies. It proved that Serbia could be beaten, and that there was Hope for TERRA/EDEN after all.
And in China, they struck blows against Poland. The Chinese, and the Canadians have been the only ones to see even mitigated success against the Poles, thus far. The Chinese returned a plethora of their regions, all under Polish control.


Overall Analysis
Although it wasn’t mentioned above, Canada did manage to win a few regions back from Poland. This has been one of the few times that Poland has been beaten. And it can be attributed to only being able to cover so many battles. Even a nation as large and as powerful as Poland, can only win so many battles a day. Add this in to their losses in China, and all of a sudden, Poland is looking beatable. Time will tell of course, but things are looking up.
The expulsion of Spain from South America, and Serbia’s inability to hold onto anything they conquer, are both promising signs for TERRA/EDEN. Brazil, and potentially Argentina can now tank from home against ONE. And so long as America isn’t Natural Enemy’d by anyone, they should be able to keep the pressure on Serbia. If there can be enough Resistance Wars, or other distraction battles, it is feasible that the United States could regain initiative.
This is the most promising situation that TERRA/EDEN has been in, in quite a few months. Hopefully, they make the most of it.
