Day 903

A joint Eden attack near the eRepublik daychange on day 902-903 was preceded by secret talks between USA and Hungary going public and causing questions about the relationship between these two nations. Hungarian officials contacted U.S government in order to close the war between these nations and open up trade again. Hungary is suffering from an universal rise in product prices and they aimed to get access to USA😒 markets filled with cheap iron waiting to be exported. Signing peace closes all active MPP😒 in conflicts affecting either of these nations alongside the direct war, if there is one, and the main gain for Hungary from signing peace would have been the dismissal of the active USA-MPP against them in the war versus Croatia. USA however never intended to close the war and thus betraying their allies in Croatia, but decided to see how far Hungary would go to get cheap iron.

Apart from the shady cabinets, Eden is causing havoc in the battlefields as well as China has launched a prominent try to invade Liaoning and thus reducing Serbia to be a mere regional power instead of the superpower status they currently hold by occupying one of the two sources of iron located in China, and according to the latest stats, the third most profitable region in the World.
China is accompanied by Eden as Cromania, consisting from Croatia and Romania are yet again launching attacks on their neighbouring enemy nations.

U.S diplomats jerk with Hungary, trick them to “sign” peace.

Hungary’s war industry was left to a disastrous state after the loss of Heilongjiang. The loss of a domestic source of iron leading to dependence of imported raw materials has permanently risen the prices of weapons. This leaded to Hungarian officials contacting USA in order to sign peace and open up trade so cheap iron from the States can flow to Hungarian markets and lower the prices. This would have required USA to turn their backs to Croatia, as the cancellation of the active MPP would have lead Croatia out on the open as lacking USA and Poland in their MPP-set would not have been enough to destroy Hungary anymore.

The Department of Fishy Business saw this as an interesting opportunity to test Hungary’s loyalty towards their allies, especially Serbia who have critical interests in the Asian theatre. USA negotiated with Hungary about the betrayal of Croatia at the same time they posted the conversations almost directly to the Croatian government, proving that communication can work between Eden and USA. Finally, with the blessings of the Hungarian president, USA and Hungary came up with a simple gentlemen’s agreement.

In return of signing peace, Hungary will not attempt to RW the American-held region of Karnataka, nor participate in an operation there initiated by Phoenix.

If the agreement would have been signed for real, it would have been incredibly naive. Eden would have been enraged and they might have RW:d Karnataka and ejected America from Asia by themselves. There is no real threat of an RW from Phoenix in Karnataka, as USA has a strong foothold in Asia and could easily swap again there. The Hungarian government apparently bought the idea anyway, though there are controversies of which side proposed the idea to protect Karnataka. Hungarian ambassador to USA, Marginaldefeat was appointed to represent Hungary and he was faced by St. Krems, the Chief of Staff.

Hungary proposed the two-phased vote for peace first, and the vote went through with an overwhelming majority in their congress. St. Krems quickly went public about the backgrounds of the diplomatical deception. An official Hungarian newspaper released a statement that Marginaldefeat acted by himself in the negotiations, but the article was later deleted. St Krems fortunately was able to take a screencap for your amusement.



All in all these evidence released by the U.S diplomats reveal that Hungary was ready to disobey the orders coming from PHX HQ and act on their own, possibly leaving Serbia without the needed support to defend Liaoning in a serious spot, thus returning the favour. Phoenix has a background of collaborating and playing as a team better than Eden, who had a big setback from the previous dream team due to a series of diplomatical failures between the major nations, but now a wedge might have been driven in the middle of Phoenix and it could harm their future efforts of holding against Eden offensives.

China and Cromania gang up in attacks against Phoenix.

Like most of the big military offensives do, the recent Eden invasion started minutes before the server rollover, giving the offender the possibility to get a kick start and tank the walls facing them, thus achieving a serious advantage.
The last Pillar and Phoenix enclave in Asia was challenged by China, and Allied forces tanked over 1000k in the early minutes of the battle. Croatia added the pressure by resuming the offensive started yesterday by attacking Slovenia and Hungary. Romania joined Croatia by attacking Hungary as well, and took the war to Bulgaria’s homeland after they attacked Romania and activated the MPP😒 in a bid to hold Romania from attacking Hungary. Romania escaped the block and attacked Ruse, which was followed 6 hours later with an attack on Varna. These two battles will be the only certain successes for Eden today.


Attacks against Phoenix in Europe, Day 903, eTime 11:30

The main front of the Balkan conflict is Croatia vs Hungary, but Croatia is meeting little success in Western Transdanubia despite Serbia distracted in Liaoning. Eden’s tactic doesn’t seem to work, as this article humorously states. It doesn’t matter for Phoenix if Cromania holds some Hungarian regions for a day or two, when they aren’t able to erase them completely and win the battle for Central Hungary, Hungary’s capital. This makes the territories of Hungary expendable, giving Phoenix free hands to secure Liaoning. China, despite growing in to a substantial country during the past months with 14,000 citizens, doesn’t have enough wrench to seriously challenge Serbia. It should be USA to attack, who have more capacity and the time zone advantage over any European nation. Unfortunately the game is not working and USA can’t declare war to Serbia, delaying the master scheme presumably already written and waiting to be executed in the Eden HQ.

Hungary is consisted from a circle of regions, all bordering hostile territory and having no bottle necks at all. All regions can be attacked simultaneously, and if USA attacks Liaoning at the same time, success should be inevitable.

Day 904.

Eden fails in Liaoning, attacks Limpopo instead.

As was expected, Eden mobile forces joining with China didn’t match Serbia, who took the threat on Liaoning seriously and instructed citizens should fight with the best weapons they have in a battle declared the highest priority in their alarm system similar to DEFCON. There are mixed results of the battle, as the two main sites compiling statistics have very different opinions about the damage dealt in Liaoning.
zhunder claims it the largest battle ever fought with over 65,000 WP😒 used and over 25 million damage dealt. These figures however are fundamentally wrong, and it seems the program roughly doubled all statistics, for instance claiming that the battle hero of Phoenix made 83k damage, when the real number is about 47k.
Ereptools, more reliable when looking at this specific battle, labels it as a battle of medium importance in terms of dealt damage, as only 14,5 million damage was thrown in to the battle and 4300 wellness packs spent. Eden used more wellness packs than Phoenix, and combined with the initiating cost of nearly 2500 Gold these kinds of battles can’t be fought every other day.
Eden in general has larger coffins than their adversaries, but Eden has emptied their Gold reserves faster than Phoenix during the past three weeks and their current strategy of attacking Phoenix with the current advantages they are holding is not working. Eden either has to revalue the goals they want to achieve, or create a new distraction for Phoenix when aiming to complete the current task, which seem to be liberating Liaoning and conquering Hungary in their entirety.

One minute after the failed invasion of Liaoning, South Africa launched an attack on Limpopo, currently occupied by Argentina, and the bulk of US army forces instructed to refrain from fighting for a lost cause in Liaoning quickly dropped the wall from the initial 300k to 70k. If the battle succeeds, South Africa will be whole again and Argentina will lose a source of diamonds alongside with their last foothold in South Africa.

Day 903 was a good day for Phoenix as they were able to fend off Croatian and Romanian attempts to conquer Hungarian regions despite the main line of Phoenix’s defences, Serbia, being occupied to protect their Asian possessions. Cromania is continuing the attacks on Hungary by attacking Western Transdanubia and Northern Great Plain. These attacks are not expected to meet success, however. Phoenix surprisingly came to help their member nation, Bulgaria, who are in a dire need for help as Romania, backed by the full Eden MPP-set begun to invade Bulgaria by capturing Ruse, and attacks were continued by a double-pronged attack on Bulgarian population hubs, Varna and Sofia. The battle for Varna was surprisingly won by Phoenix despite the battle being over 800k in favour of Eden at some point. Phoenix couldn’t retreat the heavily populated region of Sofia and flip the initiative, so they aim to win in Sofia and the possible fights after it to reclaim the initiative and recapture the region of Ruse.
