New update on the World War.

During the 48 hour time period on days 884-886, a myriad of extremely important battles were started as both Alliances have spent thousands of Gold to attack key original regions of each other and to open new fronts which didn’t exist even in the wildest dreams of the general population. Someone will attack Polish home regions? Sounds like a Dan Wang war plan. Or Romania to gang up with Croatia to erase Hungary? Maybe in the distant future, but not during the current power balance. Well, they both happened within 48 hours.

My own wildest dreams are succeeded by this article. When I went to sleep I was planning to write an article about the Polish failure to attack Mexico. The idea became useless when I logged on the next day and noticed that Russia has attacked Poland and China and Croatia is under attack by Serbia and Hungary.

So here it is, the grand edition covering up all the fronts of the new World War. Yes, I count this as the beginning of World War... 4, if I recall correctly, because the consequences of Croatia finally deciding to use her active MPP😒 against their age-old nemesis Hungary mirror to the utmost corner of Asia, and with the open set of MPP😒 against Brazil and Western Australia under Indonesian occupation, it is a matter of time when the War reaches the Southern Hemisphere as well. While the entire Eastern Europe and Asia are in flames, the United States have an intriguing possibility to join in the bandwagon and carry out an expansive military campaign of their own when everyone else is busy with their own businesses, therefore expanding the new World War to directly concern every single continent in eWorld.

While the dramatic battles fought in legendary regions may seem like both Alliances went ballistic and attacked everything on their reach, it isn’t so. At first Phoenix had a clear objective in mind and Eden either decided to retaliate with extensive attacks or by coincidence both Alliances timed their major campaigns on the same day. Many of the attacks have no purpose of winning, instead both Alliances use the tactic of attacking very important regions simultaneously and forcing the other one to disperse their strengths and prioritize while directing the death blow on some other key region. We have surpassed the point where both Alliances are willing to spend over 5000 Gold in one day only to distract the other Alliance’s big guys with no intention of winning. This can be seen in Romania as they attacked Hungary to ease the pressure from Croatia, China attacking Heilongjiang to force Hungary choose between it and their original regions and Russia plowing through Poland to divert damage from the intensive battle of Rhone Alps.

The situation simplifie😛 Phoenix’s main objective is to reduce Poland to their original borders. Eden’s main objective is to preserve Polish colonies and try to wipe Phoenix’s key Iron hubs in Northern China. These goals are followed by a myriad of smaller battles aiming to distract, alongside with the recent bid to invade Hungary’s original regions.


Russia starts the parties by attacking Poland and China.

The very first battles of the astounding chain of events were started by Russia as they put the World on it’s toes by attacking Polish-controlled Mazuria and Chinese Xingjiang. Poland, gloating in their excellence didn’t mind to sign defensive MPP😒 with major Eden countries, and their MPP-list consisting of small nations requiring Poland to defend them baited Russia to attack and basically challenge Poland in to a 1 vs 1-battle. The strain of relationships with USA deleted their common MPP, Poland hosts a war with Spain for tactical reasons and the MPP with Croatia was reversed during the land swaps to get a border with Mexico. Therefore Poland was left with 6 MPP😒 with fairly small Eden nations, and Russia counted the risk to be manageable and attacked.
The attack of Mazuria was followed by an attack on Pomerania just before daychange and Russian tanks dropped the wall to -400k on the first minutes. Pomerania, hosting a low population on Polish standards, is a border region of Brandenburg and Berlin, the Polish grain colony. Russia concentrated their efforts to conquer Pomerania and the attacks on Mazuria and Xinjiang were revealed to be damage drains.



Later Poland was attacked by Slovenia on their Wood colony in Southern France, and this was enough to distract the Polish general population and Russia was able to invade Pomerania. They instantly continued to Berlin and Poland is currently facing a double-pronged attack on their both resource colonies. Berlin is more of a damage drain as Poland is committed to defend Rhone Alps, but Russia is hitting it hard and aims to win the battle so they can return it to the Germans in order to give them control over their original capital and a important economical centre.

Overall today is the day which defines the very essence of the Polish Empire. Earlier today Brazil claimed control of Canary Islands, and if Poland is removed from both of their colonies, they are back stranded inside their original borders without resources and they will revert to be a regional power. If they seek to rise in to global dominance again, they either have to attack Russia or go through Germany and France all over again.

Were Rhone Alps invaded, Poland will lose a huge slice of their active population as Rhone Alps is home to nearly 10,000 Poles. Therefore it is imperative for them to defend it and we can expect a huge tanking effort in the end of the battle.

Croatia teams up with Romania to decimate Hungary.

The oldest still active conflict in the World between Romania and Hungary spiralled back in to life as Romania attacked Hungary to ease the pressure they alongside with Serbia were creating towards Croatia as they aimed to conquer the sites of many epic battles, Slavonia and Northwest Croatia, in a double-pronged attack. Later, after fending off both attacks, Croatia finally attacked Hungary, by launching two simultaneous attacks on the bordering regions. Hungary goaded Croatia to attack after they launched the full set of Eden MPP😒 against themselves in repeated tries to invade Croatia. Croatia however patiently waited for better circumstances and today the Croatian government decided it’s time to start a war of epic proportions as the Chinese province of Jilin was liberated and China was given the chance to attack the Hungarian iron colony of Heilongjiang.

After Poland and China were attacked, Phoenix decided to up the ante and attacked Croatia as they didn’t possess the Polish MPP, therefore making the risks of the attack manageable. The battles were not intended to be won although Serbians fought hard in the beginning of the battle, and both battles ended with a safe 1m margin in favor of Croatia. After seizing the initiative, Croatia crossed the border and started a furious effort to invade the aforementioned regions. Romania is coming from the other side and these two nations are on their way to destroy a common enemy, or at least drain damage so Eden mobile forces will have the chance to wipe out PHX from Asia.


Current attacks against Hungary.

Serbia is constantly blocked by India and China on their various possessions in the Far East. Therefore they can’t put a stop on Croatia and block them, giving Croatia free hands to march through Hungary. Hungary does not either possess a Serbian MPP, and this alongside with the distraction created in Asia was enough to bait Croatia to join with Romania in an invasion to wipe out the PHX giant.

The most populated region of Hungary’s original regions is still behind a belt of low populated regions, and Croatia and Romania have to be careful and not to make the same mistake as USA did in UK by leaving the fortress region to be the last one to invade. All in all it’s too early to say anything about a possible success on Hungary, but the current battles are favouring Croatia and Romania as Hungary is ordering their citizens to defend HLJ against the Chinese attack.

China attacks both jewels of the Phoenix Crown.

After a tanking operation mastered by the Romanian army, the bottleneck region of Jilin was liberated as the Russian occupators were busy conquering Poland. China quickly took advantage of this and attacked the Serbian fortress of Liaoning, effectively drawing their attention away from Rhone Alps where they are a part of the Slovenian MPP-stack. The attack was later followed by an attack on Heilongjiang, the Hungarian fortress, to drain their damage as well from the Croatian invasion of their homeland. The Chinese attacks are mainly damage drains, but if the Allied mobile troops aren’t devoted to some other battle, the final minutes of these battles might turn in to fierce clashes. The United States in particular, who have a very effective mobile army, possesses huge interests on this area and due to the unfortunate diplomatic disagreements, USA might be absent from the battles raging in Europe.



India is gaining success over Serbia as they have conquered Rajasthan, which was occupied by Serbia. They have now attacked the infamous Sindh and earlier Iran joined the club of MPP-activators as they tripped in to the Indian stack, which possesses such Eden nations as Croatia, USA and Sweden.

The Chinese efforts are valiant but both PHX empires cling tight to their colonies. Therefore without burning tens of thousands of Gold, the Allied troops do not have enough punch to topple the extensive walls both giants build around their possessions. It’d take a serious player like USA to attack against these regions, but unfortunately the region of Heilongjiang is sealed behind Serbian regions, a nation USA does not have a war with. USA either have to attack a nation with a Serbian MPP or declare war upon them, which takes 24 hours.

Long story short, these two days have been the most important days of eRepublik by far and the first days of the invasion of America is the only 3-day period matching the days we currently live in strategical importance. This conflict, this new world war we are witnessing is extraordinary as it might last for weeks and there are still fronts waiting to be opened and both Alliances show no restraints in attacking each other on key regions, activating deadly MPP-stacks, taking risks, pouring Gold to tanks and most important, enjoying the game. The next few days might be the best days of eRepublik, and I wish everyone will enjoy them as much as I do.
I as a war reporter have jizzed in my pants repeatedly after having the unique possibility to report about such dramatic events and I will keep you constantly updated with a new article as soon after daychange as possible, as it is the moment of time when the biggest battles often begin.
