I'd like to see a stronger dollar 😃
"I'd like to see a stronger dollar 😃"
Yeah, When i said 50 Aud for 1 gold i was being sarcastic.
Stronger dollar means lower wages and lower exports for business.
No, A Stronger dollar means an increased role on the world scale. It gives Australian Businesses the opportunity to grow and thrive in the world market, knowing the AUD is strong and Stable over other currencies gives them a larger buying power.
Strengely enough you are correct in that aspect as well, but you must be aware of both sides of the equation, stronger buying power will necessarily result in weaker selling power. So does eAustralia want to be a buyer or seller?
It is preferable to have little movement in the currency because every time our currency exchamnges moves, money market traders get very rich at the expense of industry and workers.
Given Australia needs to buy most of her goods to manufacture inside her borders, having a larger buying power of Oil, Wood, and Iron is beneficial to the manufacturing industry which will only produce Australian goods for Australians.
Simply put, a Strong Dollar allows Manufactures to buy cheaper raw materials so they can lower the price and raise wages, putting more goods and money into the pockets of Australian citizens.
