Day 72: Russia On Its Last Legs

Day 672, 19:28 Published in USA USA by Desertfalcon

With Colombia and France unable to block the U.S. things don't look good for Russia. After losing multiple regions to the U.S. yesterday, Russia is down to just Kentucky, Tennessee, and New Jersey. The U.S. is currently launching offensives into both Kentucky and Tennessee and the American forces have managed to knock the wall down below 150K in both battles. Things look promising right now however if the U.S. is to win this war they will have to take out Russia and finish strong. A couple of weeks ago the U.S. was able to knock Russia down to just Illinois and Connecticut however Russia was able to win the battles in those last two states to retake the offensive. New Jersey will likely be the site of the next major battle since if Kentucky and Tennessee fall it will be the last Russian held region in North America.

The U.S. is also launching offensives into the French held regions of West Virginia and Delaware. Both these battles are also expected to end as victories for the U.S.. This will set the U.S. up to push Russia and France out of North America tomorrow. After these two countries are taken out the U.S. will likely focus their attention to Hungary who occupies Washington, North Dakota, Montana, and Alaska. This will likely be the most difficult front since Hungary is about the same size of the U.S. however we will have Canada blocking Hungary to help us out.

In world news Spain has finally started a resistance war to liberate the regions of Andalucia. A victory here means that Spain will have total liberation after being completely eliminated about a month ago. Immediately after being conquered Spain was able to resistance war back a few minor regions and after repeated successes they took back the former capital of Madrid. It took Spain a couple of weeks to launch the last resistance war in Andalucia (most likely due to the cost. Andalucia used to be a fortress region for Spain and its liberation will be very beneficial for the Spanish economy.

There haven't been any attacks on the Norwegian-Russian fronts today. Russia was able to win in the defense of Leningrad- Oblast and gain the initiative, however they haven't been able to counter attack due to battles in North America. Unless Russia decides to retreat from Kentucky or Tennessee it is likely that Norway will regain the initiative and attack Leningrad tomorrow once it flips back.
