Day 6 - Stagnation

Day 1,245, 13:05 Published in USA USA by Israel Stevens
Day 6:

North America
Spain was completely removed from North America on Day 6, as the freedom fighters of Maryland succeeded in overthrowing their Spanish Oppressors. This marks then end of Spanish control in North America. It is likely that they will return, or at least make an attempt at it. Their war with Brazil will be closed in a few hours, courtesy of Poland.
The Mexican-American War continues however, as the United States made a move to secure the Saltpeter of Baja. Currently, the battle is very close, with Mexico receiving heavy tanking from their European Allies.
The Polish-American Front is an interesting one. Poland controls Delaware, and New Jersey, but there is no active war between America and Poland. These regions will most likely be the target of resistance wars, as Terra attempts to distract Polish damage from their new front with Brazil.

South America
By far the most interesting fronts in this war. Just days ago, this front was stagnant, as Spain and Brazil battled back and forth over the Canary Islands. Neither making any headway on the mainland.
But with the successful Brazilian defense of a resistance war, and Poland’s declaration of Natural Enemy against Brazil, Poland has been able to relieve Spain, and attack Brazil directly. If Poland wins the Canary Islands battle (currently up 6-0), Spain will not share a border with Brazil, and that war will be closed. This will allow Spain to focus all of their attention elsewhere, either towards the USA, or perhaps France.

Western Europe
Spain has just won the battle for Castilla y Leon. This gives the Spanish initiative in the war. Expect to see a counterattack on Galicia. Expect this front to intensify, as Spain no longer has to fight two fronts at once.
France continues to win back regions, and Germany is currently fighting a losing battle, in an attack on Belgium.

Overall Analysis
Stagnation is the word of the day, with the exception of Poland’s entrance into South America. Poland is much stronger than Brazil. It will take coordinated efforts by Terra to keep the Brazilian mainland intact against a Polish military that has dominated the European fronts.
Otherwise, we are seeing the back and forth battles of a stagnant war. What once looked like a dominating ONE offensive was stopped dead by Terran military might. It remains to be seen whether this new strategy of Poland vs Brazil pays off.
