Day 44

North America
Serbia continues to struggle to get a permanent foothold in North America. For every step forward, the American Resistance pushes them two steps back. The Serbians conquered California, however they lost both Texas and Hawaii. The turned their attention to Hawaii late this morning, however, the Americans are rallying, and currently hold a surprising 3-0 lead. Last week, the Americans had 4-0 lead in Nevada that they ended up losing, so it is still to early to celebrate, however, the United States is coming into it’s primetime and should be able to dominate the battle.
The war with Spain has suffered however. They have retaken a few states, and most recently, they recaptured Delaware. The Americans have shifted their focus towards the more powerful threat, in Serbia. They are holding the Serbians off surprisingly well, however they are taking losses to Spain. In the long run, this is probably the better strategy. Spain will likely be a thorn in the American’s side for quite some time. They are strong, hostile, and share a border with the USA. It is better to eject Serbia and Poland from the region, then turn their attention towards the Spaniards.
To the north, in Canada, the Polish are taking losses. Canada continues to win battle after battle against Poland. It is likely that Poland is facing a sort of ‘forced withdrawal’ from Canada. They can’t fight battles on so many fronts, and continue to win, so they have decided that if they have to lose something, it will be in Canada. Their regions in France, Germany and the United States are much more valuable to them

United States and Canada

South America
There’s not much to say about this region, since Brazil and Argentina tag-teamed Spain. Columbia has managed to push Mexico back out of the continent; and South Africa continues to rally against Indonesia.
The South Africans have won a variety of regions back from Indonesia and are holding a huge lead in Northern Cape.
Lastly, neither Brazil nor Argentina has a Natural Enemy, and neither has a proposal. It seems as if they are going to be the ‘mobile artillery’ and be able to help win resistance wars all over the world.

Europe
Poland and Croatia are currently at war, however the Polish have yet to attack. This will be an interesting war, because there is no time advantage, which has been a staple of ONE’s strategy thus far.
France and Germany continue to start Resistance Wars against Poland, and they continue to be beaten. Poland has put a high priority on the French and German resistance wars, and they won’t give up those regions easily. Time will tell how the war with Croatia will affect these battles with France and Germany, as Poland is going to need to allocate a lot of resources to battle Croatia.
In the Balkans, Greece and TERRA’s newest member Cyprus have teamed up to dominate the Macedonians. The FYROM only controls Povardarie, as one of their original regions. They still have a region in Italy, and others in the Middles East. Although, Cyprus is doing an excellent job of conquering those regions.
The alliance of Greece and Cyprus is hugely surprising. Cyprus is controlled by iNCi (who are Turkish), and had been largely anti-Greece. That was until FYROM and ONE decided that they wanted Cyprus’ regions. The tiny island nation stood up to the regional bully, and ending up bringing him to his knees.

Asia
China continues to win region after region back, and now only a few of their regions are controlled by ONE. Poland, Hungary, and Serbia still remain in the region, however, all are occupied elsewhere, and China has seen great success against them. It is likely that they will continue to win their regions back. And with ONE having no other regions in the area, except for in China, the Asian power will likely remain free for a while.
Australia and New Zealand continue to tangle. Australia has made a concentrated effort to kick NZ out of Australia, and to take the fight to the Island nation. New Zealand has the early lead (1-0), and is seeking to regain the initiative against the Aussies.
Australia is also trying to remove Indonesia, however the Indonesians are easily stone-walling the Australians.

Overall Analysis
TERRA and EDEN haven’t seen this sort of success in a long time. Every major ONE nation seems to be taking heavy losses of some type. Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, Russia, and the United States have all regained huge amounts of their nations back.
In my opinion, there are simply too many fronts to fight for ONE. They conquered too much, and now there are tens of nations that are starting Resistance Wars against them. Simply too many fronts. Will ONE rebound? Yes. This game has proven to be cyclical, if nothing else. The question is, how far will TERRA/EDEN be able to push their advantage. All the way into the heart of Eastern Europe? Time will tell.
