Day 36: Russia Continues On

Day 636, 21:07 Published in USA USA by Desertfalcon

Two days ago it appeared that the war in North America was about to come to an end however the peace treaty fell through and Russia doesn't seem ready to stop. Indonesia and Portugal had both agreed to sign the treaty however with Russia holding out it doesn't do much good for them to sign now and neither country appears ready to go behind Russia's back and propose peace themselves. The treaty would of allowed the U.S. to buy regions back at a price tag of 300 gold for a high region and 200 gold for a medium region however Russia said that this was not enough and the U.S. refused to pay any more.

Earlier today Russia continued their attempt to take out the last non fortress states in the northeast by invading Connecticut. Right now the region is deep into the underground and it will likely fall as civilians have been ordered to fight in the Balearic Islands in Spain. While losing Connecticut a day after the supposed peace treaty was announced may make many Americans lose hope of keeping our regions we need to realize that if this peace treaty does not get signed (which doesn't seem likely) we will soon be down to Florida and New Jersey. Russia isn't attacking as much as they used which could be due to the recent loss of their treasury however the fate of the U.S. really hangs with Portugal and whether or not they decide to attack Florida, right now they say they want peace but we all know that could change.

In Spain a massive battle is taking place in the Balearic Islands where the U.S. has ordered their civilians to fight. the Balearic Islands are one of the three Q5 hospital regions remaining in Spain and Spain really needs a stop here as France has just been rolling through their regions the past few days. As of right now the wall is in the rural area and we can expect to see a battle of tanks tomorrow morning as both sides try to take a region with 1,000 Spanish citizens. If the Balearic Islands were to fall Spain would be in a bit of trouble as they would be down to only three regions.

Also in the U.S. occupied regions there were many resistance wars started yesterday. All of them failed despite having the military back a few of them. Canada started another resistance war in Nova Scotia as well and with the help of a few American tanks they were able to liberate the region from the U.K.. This is the fourth Canadian region to be liberated and so far Canada has been doing quite well since being completely taken over about two weeks ago.
