Day 1412 - Crisis in Canada!

Day 1,413, 11:39 Published in USA USA by Israel Stevens

Day - 1412

My how quickly things change. Just one day removed from a safe North America, the continent is under threat once more. Canada’s ill advised foray into Sweden, has begun disastorously, as the Swede’s thoroughly thumped the Canadians, as they attacked Vestlandet. Canada lost all eight rounds, and now faces an invasion of their own, as Sweden has crossed the North Sea, and invaded Canadian occupied Scotland.
The Canucks made an attempt to cede control of the northern British region, however heavy tanking on the part of Alfagrem, and the ONE alliance, ensured that the region remained Canadian. Scotland borders natural regions of Canada, and with the Swedish attack on the region, North America is once again in danger. Sweden is currently up 3-0, although Canada should win a few rounds tonight. However, it will likely not be enough, and tomorrow we will see an attack on Newfoundland.

Swedish attack on Scotland, and impending invasion of Canada

Peru and Brazil are battling over Northern Low Amazon, at the moment. Brazil is currently up 4-2, and should win, as they are favored in the battle. If the Brazilians do win the battle, they will likely attack the remaining Peruvian region of Chimor, and go for the complete wipe of the ONE-leaning nation.

In Western Europe, Spain and the United States contine to be locked in battle. After their impressive win in Asturias, the Spaniards have rallied, and are currently dominating the battle of Cantabria. This will keep initiative for Spain, and they will likely attack Galicia next. The loss of both Galicia, and Cantabria will mean that the United States will lose three resources: Fish, Deer and Iron. This would be a large blow for the United States economically.
But perhaps of more importance, is that the United States may not be able to regain initiative. ONE has been dominating battles around the world the past few days, and with the imminent invasion of Canada by Sweden, the United States could be dealing with an invasion of their own, if Spain decides to recross the Atlantic.

Australia returned to the map yesterday, as they liberated the region of New South Wales from New Zealand. Australia has focused on the weaker of their occupiers, as they also opened a Resistance War in Queensland, that they are pitching a shutout in, up 7-0. The task of beating Indonesia is a much harder one, although if China or the United States were to get involved, the job may get easier.

Overall Analysis
The debacle with Canada is going to mean that war will return to North America. How far Sweden takes it, remains to be seen. It is also possible that ONE will use this as an opportunity to invade America. With Spain easily winning battles, the still possible Polish invasion, and the fact that Indonesia attempted to declare the United States as Natural Enemy a few days ago, we could once again be looking at fighting on our own turf. Hopefully, Canada can keep Sweden out of North America, and France can quickly win back their regions that border the United States, otherwise, we may be looking at the Third American Invasion.
