Day 1,304: World Without Borders

Day 1,304, 20:58 Published in USA USA by Blank Keating

Days are dark for TERRA and EDEN as eRepublik sees what is probably the highest amount of wiped countries at any given time in history. ONE-based empires across Europe rampage about and conquered regions and citizen counts continue to rise as their opponents' fall.

In that darkness there is hope, however, as the new change to health recovery and recent cooperation between Terra and EDEN may be a tide turner. Here's your world today:

France is still under attack by both Poland and Hungary and continues to lose on both fronts, despite doing their best to focus their damage on one head of the attack. The invasion duo has managed to surround Paris and reduce France to 1 resource, a devastating blow as this new change takes hold of the economy. After cutting trade routes, Poland moved northwest to Brittany, where it is waiting to attack the U.S. east coast.

Relevant battles:
Hungary vs. Languedoc Roussillon, France
Poland vs. Poitou Charentes, France
French Resistance vs. Rhone Alps, Hungary
French Resistance vs. Lorraine, Poland

In this week's edition of "things I guessed right last week", Spain continues their attack on the United States, however, regions are now coming at a price to Spain. TERRA has pulled together and succeeded in pulling two states back to the States via resistance forces and successfully defended the US from losing it's primary trade route, and may be able to make a press to steal Spain's initiative over the next couple days.

Relevant Battles:
American Resistance vs. West Virginia, Spain
American Resistance vs. Colorado, Spain
Spain vs. Virginia, USA

And now, in this week's edition of "things I grossly underestimated", Sweden has taken their small holdings in Canada and managed to turn it into a full blown wipe danger. America's hat has suddenly found themselves unable to continue their resistance war trail and is being overrun by the Swedish campaign despite help from the U.S. and EDEN.

Relevant battles:
Sweden vs. Nunavut, Canada
Canadian Resistance vs. British Columbia, Sweden

Russia - now back on the map - has had great success against the Turkish empire (that has been busy wiping other countries). Freeing Far Eastern Russia and the Siberias, the TERRA-backed Russian resistance continues to press southwest as they reclaim their homeland, opening wars in Lithuania, Poland, and Turkey.

Relevant battles:
Russian Revolution vs. Urals, Turkey
Russian Revolution vs. Leningrad Oblast, Poland
Russian Revolution vs. Northern Russia, Lithuania

With Italy, Finland, Romania, and Greece all removed from the map at the start of the day, EDEN is hard at work making sure ONE is plagued by resistance forces of the wiped countries while also trying to deflect the Turkish invasion in Bulgaria. A Romanian resurgence was made possible by EDEN mobile fighters, and they are now shifting their focus to winning in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

Relevant battles:
Turkey vs. Plovdiv, Bulgaria
Bulgarian Resistance vs. Burgas, Turkey
Romanian Resistance vs. Moldova, Poland
Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) vs. Thrace, Greece

The new change is likely to give a new vitality to countries with big economies that have kept imports available or have been plagued by overproduction as citizens buy up exponentially higher amounts of food and weapons. Romania is likely to come back on the map, but the outlook is grim for Italy and Greece. Bulgaria will probably manage to continue staving off the Turkish threat, and as long as they're able to deflect damage, Russia will recover it's conquered regions in the Turkish empire.

Communication is growing both intra- and inter-alliance in "TWO" as evidenced by their victories on fronts they've been losing in (with the exception of France). If it keeps up, it's possible TERRA and EDEN countries can start raking in baby booms and turn the tide in the world war. As long as they keep coordinating correctly, they will continue to dismantle the overstretched empires in Turkey and eventually Poland. I wouldn't say that a decisive advantage is in the foreseeable future for TERRA and EDEN, but they can at least bring it back to even-keel quickly at this pace.

Until next time,
