Currency Report - Day 568 - New Countries, New Opportunies

Day 568, 10:48 Published in USA South Africa by Enoch Root
New Currencies, New Opportunities

We just got hit with a ton of new countries today, and with these new countries comes their new currencies. They won't be worth trading for a few days, but once they bottom, we will have several new places to invest in. If any of you remember how North Korea's KPW behaved, then you know what to expect.

The KPW came in at a very good time, right before elections. The KPW was still coming down, and had not settled to a natural level yet, and lot's of people were running to make moving ticket companies in North Korea. This helped the KPW to bottom rather high for a new currency.

The most likely place we will see this kind of behavior is in Peru. Peru controls the Great Andes region, which holds a high iron resource - gold mine. If this country can be protected from PTOs long enough, it's currency will base itself off of the demand for cash coming from the iron companies set up there. What's more is the the Great Andes region also has high wood. The demand from this region will control currencies the way Podolia did when it flipflopped from Romania to Moldavia to Ukraine.

Something to remember about all of these countries is that they started with 1000 gold and 99999 currency each. That's like a big red target screaming "come PTO me!!!!" which would be bad for your investments. So be a little wary of putting money into these new countries in the long term, at least until the Spanish module has them flocking in, and these countries get more than 50-ish people living in them.

For the sake of some organization and so I don't print a wall of text, a list:

Bolivia

Currency - The BOB

High Resources - Wood (Bolivian Altiplano), and Grain (North West Chaco),

Colombia

Currency - The COP

High Resources - Wood (Amazonica), Oil (Caribe e Insular), and Grain (Orinoquia).

I'd like to point out that Colombia has several medium regions as well, and will not have to be very dependent on other countries for anything except diamonds.

Paraguay

Currency - PYG

High Resources - Wood (Central East Chaco), Grain (Paranena).

Paraguay kind of got the short end of the stick. The have no resources outside of these two, wood and grain. That means they will be full dependent on their neighbors for oil, iron, and diamonds.

Peru

Currency - PEN

High Resources - Iron & Wood (Great Andes), and Grain (Northern Low Amazon).

Peru also has medium oil, and lacks only diamonds. This country is going to be a battleground. People need that iron, and are more than willing to screw to Peruvians to get to it.

Uruguay

Currency - UYU

High Resources - Grain (Charrua).

So Uruguay only has one region. One region, 1000 gold, 99999 UYU. Let's take a look at some other one region countries. Pakistan & Greece. They didn't start with just one region. and they aren't exactly big money winners today. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say that the bottom for the UYU is going to be pretty low without government intervention.

Update on Latvia

While I've been away, not writing articles, Latvia's been getting in a pretty bad situation. Remember how they elected a permabanned president? Well, the next president came in, and ALSO got permabanned. BUT WAIT. Guess who else got permabanned... the next candidate in line. The banhammer has been coming down HARD on Latvia.

So, what's this mean? Means some of Latvia's biggest and strongest supporters just got taken out of the picture. There is now less resistance for the Finland's allies to win a high grain region for Finland. Once that high grain region is lost, any semblance of economy that Latvia had will be gone. If you thought there was no demand for the LVL before, there will be none after Finland is done. They will have only medium wood, and medium grain regions left, which equals little to no cashflow.

Today's Movers

I've got listings up for Bolivia, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay up today, but they don't have changes listed since this is my first day putting them up.

The BRL is down two points because of an offer by Controle Nacional, which is a government funded Org. Depending on if this is the new policy, or if they just need to raise a bit of gold, they may hold the BRL at this value. The Org currently holds over 38,000 BRL, so if it wants to hold the value here, then it should have no problem doing so.

The CNY has been hitting 0.014, although it is currently at 0.013. If you got in at 0.012, this is a nice profit for you.

With Germany being in control of a region again, and looking to RW their way back to getting a few more, the DEM is looking up. If they can get back one of the regions that had a lot of companies in it, it may pick up even more.

Sometimes, extended fighting can crash an economy that isn't geared for it, and the Estonian economy, I'm afraid, is not. At first it may be nice to see people with high wellness, ect, but once the high demand for things like weapons set in, and production can't keep up, the economy can do some odd things. Just keep an eye on your EEK if the battles between Finland and Latvia continue for very long.

The ESP is up two points, as the government offer that was holding the ESP down at 0.033 is nowhere to be found.

The KRW is working it's way past the large Sinnyo Currency Trader offer still. It's not going fast, but it is going.

The LVL is holding at 0.007 for now. Lots of speculators are steering clear of the LVL right now, so it hasn't been very fluid lately.

The SIT is coming down off of a massive buyout. The Slovenian government has posted their offer at 0.037, but without placing offers on the other side of the board, the SIT is doomed to drop drastically as spread traders capitalize on people buying gold for SIT.
