Croatia and Serbia going beyond NAP

Remember the times when Croatia and Serbia (going alphabetically here) were (im)mortal foes? Well, a the same time there was a group of people thinkng about a ceasefire (I was among those, still am). We were declared heretics. The unwritten rule was to make ingame rivalries based on RL hate among different nationlities (wtf)...
Pretty much the whole game revolved around our conflict. Plato had a smile on his face, allies on theirs. The two countries had fun too, at least while the alliances were stable. With the shift of those a light came. Players with brains in both countries were tired of spending resources on fighting for Slavonia and Vojvodina, neither country needed the other's regions. The first NAP was rarified, but it didn't last for long. Rednecks in both ours and allly countries blew it off.

I myself lost the interest in playing this for months, and just recently returned to check the status. With the allgoing shifts of alliances, I found out Croatia and Serbia finally signed a functional NAP. Imagine my delight. This game was finally worth playing. And before I could adjust, I saw China getting conquered. Croatia finally has stable bonuses, is collecing regular amount of taxes, and players got more enthusiastic and participating.

Yeah! My happiness was brifly interrupted by all the articles and shouts about Croatia letting her allies down. Not because we weren't fighting for them, but because we weren't fighting against Serbia! And I was all like WTF? Are you serious? Do you want me make you serious?

And since people are raging about our NAP, why wouldn' we go even furher? I can't think of one reason not to go into alliance with Serbia. Well, I can think of one, and one only. The famous one: Croatia never lets down her allies. So, let's not. Let's just do this alliance for a season, like a social experiment. Just to see how it'd work out, if at all.

Let's face it. This game is going for six years now, and it's not going strong. We tried everything, from journalism and propaganda, politics and take-overs, economy and thefts. All that is left is the military module, and we have already tried everything, all combinations but this one. And frankly, if we don't introduce such a shocking novelty, this game might not survive another year. We need this. Well, I need it. Don't know about you, but eRep isn't nearly as fun as it used to be in the decade before this one.

Before you attack my sanity in the comments, I'm asking you one thing. Consider it, just think about it for a minute. We have fought by your wishes against Serbs for six years. Can we at least try to fight with them for a couple of months? Can the rest of us have some fun too?
