We are also seeking to establish a culture of accountability in eCanada to prevent such a thing from happening again. They kind of have a point; rewarding theft and Party PTOing and corruption is clearly asking for more of the same and therefore counter productive. Far from ending a problem it is an open invitation for others to do the same. On the objectives of the 'Exiled Patriots' many of us who have remained can sympathise however the means that they have employed, fighting against eCanada is unintendly helping One, not only in eCanadas wars but all over. Every bit of extra damage we must use to maintain our eUK regions is damage we could be using against ePoland and eSerbia. Do the 'Exiled Patriots' truly wish to see ePoland back on the west coast of eFrance? I don't believe they want this anymore than I. Then there is talk that EPC want eCanada 'wiped' but let me inform the Exiles; 'wiping' eCanada will NOT achieve your objectives. It will not change the CP or Congress in whose power alone it is reverse the pardon that has so much discredited the past work of honest and loyal citizens. EPCs objectives are social and political: Fighting against eCanada and our allies will NOT achieve your objectives. If you truly want to achieve these things you will return home NOW and stand for Congress.
As I said to Acacia some time ago the 'Exiled Patriots' are NOT 'traitors' but 'ill judged patriots', a term he later used himself but then sadly reverted to 'treason' etc... Sadly our CP seems have entered an advanced state of what can only be termed paranoia. Everyone who disgrees with him: Exiles who fights against eCanada, exiles who don't, even those those who remain but disagree with his policy; all are 'enemies'. Hence we next saw the development of the...
Bunker Mentality
A. The Symptoms
On Day 1578, after a seemingly long silence, we get an article entitled '[CP] Operation Blackout - Defcon 2'. This is quite amusing and one assumes largely 'tongue in cheek'. So first the CP announces that:
"Several steps were immediately decided upon. All Prime Ministerial articles were deemed Top Secret and removed from public access points."
Umm... what? By announcing this you have contradicted the rule you just made up. Perhaps this article has 'special exclusion'? I notice all previous articles have been deleted though. Clearly some material which the CP said in the past he now wishes he had not said perhaps including his own 'opinion poll'? I am totaly a loss to otherwise explain the evident contradictions inherent in this new twist of policy. We were promised that the results of the CPs 'opinion poll' would be made public. They have not been and now presumably the results and any mention of this the CP made of this are deemed 'Top Secret'. One can only assume that the CP did not like results of his own survey so has resorted to a false 'state of emergency' type scenario to avoid the implications of his earlier contradictions.
Next we have Part 2 of the new 'bunker policy': "It was also decided that an immediate media blackout would be launched as the administration moved into a cone of silence."
This statement continues to baffle me. A 'media blackout' is one thing and 'a cone of silence' implies something very different; a kind of 'not talking to anyone'. I presume that the 'not talking to anyone' is NOT the case; the government shall continue to speak to allies, Congress etc etc etc so essentialy this amounts to only 'no more articles from Acacia or the VP', apart from the one that contradicted the rule that sets out the policy. One wonders if it would amount to 'treason' for the MoFa to publish an article? Presumably it would.
B. The Diagnosis
Clearly our CP is faced by many challenges. From the very start of his term he was faced with threats that would effect his real life and on returning after this he has my respect. However having faced down this threat he faced many challenges in game; a clear division on the 'pardon issue' just passed by Congress 16;15. The 'Exiled Patriots' left and have been causing trouble and many who remain, such as myself, sympathise with the exiles and I appear to point out the holes and contradictions in Government policy... Yes, ALOT of problems that even Jacobi or Addy Lawrence at their best might struggle with.
However faced with so many many challenges the CP's first reaction was, in effect, to create an atmosphere of paranoia: On Day 1572; "our alliance is concerned about us...very concerned. It has been suggested that if we do not get our act together, our alliance will wipe us until we get our house in order. I have spent the better part of the last 2 days fighting off this position." Well this, it turned out, was (to put it kindly) innacurate.
Then we had a referendum that was 'always planned' prior to Day 1572 then later the same day was was not on. Then on Day 1573 we had an 'opinion poll' published by CP himself whose results would 'inform Congress' and be made public. This is now superceeded by the 'Top Secrecy' of the Bunker and 'cone of silence'.
Clearly the CP cannot stand by one decision he makes for long and so has cleared his backlog of contradictions by imposing this so called 'top secret' rule which he is evidently able to breach. As any politician who wishes to always to be ahead the wind of public opinion the CP has aimed the ship of state. The trouble is that he has found himself in a storm and winds coming from many directions when he never had a rock of principle to shelter by. Lost in his own contradictions, trying to please all, he has failed to do anything but appease the real rogue. Principles and policy are gone; past promises mean nothing, integrity forgotten, the ship seeks shelter in secrecy. Oh dear... My diagnosis is the same: Lack of principle!
Sara's Policy
It has been suggested that if truly wish to run for CP that I should set out some policies. I have said before and reiterate again that I believe there are some currently abroad who would be better suited. I am not Canadian in real life and for this reason have never sought to be CP, although I have acted as 'Executive VP' before due to the CPs absence. However until Chucky Norris or jfstpierre perhaps return I SHALL go forward to redeem our communities self respect, honour and intregity. So these are my suggestions to the current Government/policies (though I have little hope they will listen):
A. A Government of National Unity: This will include any 'Exiled Patriots' who may wish to return and Acacia if he wishes. They thus have no reason to fight against us. Pardons for exiles will be granted.
B. Any new players (less than 1 month) will, should they apply, be given an 'apprentiship' role in a Ministry. When I first started this kept me in the game and taught me loads. Only when you understand will you stay.
C. Once all exiles who wish to return have returned a BINDING referendum to be held on the 'pardon issue'. The decision of this referendum shall be BINDING for 6 months and people will have 1 weeks notice before the vote is published to campaign.
D. Tax: The commodities we have we should NOT import. Import taxes on these commodities should be higher and those we lack we must, until we have them, be lower to enable our citizens and military to buy the best there is at the cheapest price.
E. Foreign Policy: We must conduct region swaps with eUSA to gain other commodities that we currently lack. IF eFrance and eIreland agree to an eUK peace, depending on the term, we shall grant it and push into eGermany with the aim of keeping ePoland away from the Atlantic coast.
F. The Speaker of Congress to be charged with writing weekly Public Information Articles on what has been discussed, voted on etc who voted for what included. This will help us get some accountability within the 5g perpetualy elected members.

Clearly my article was pure lulz...a tension breaker whereby I poked a little fun at myself. If you can't see that for what it is, I question your ability to interpret anything god forbid you get into power.
You want the poll results...so do I. I will be releasing them shortly...I had other irons in the fire that took priority.

Forget about region swaps, they won't work and there's no interest in trying. The game moved past them.
As for the cone of silence apparently it includes all allies, interesting approach.

Anyone who supports any future that would include the terrorists is not, in my opinon, putting the interests of the Nation first. They are not exiles. They attacked Canada, and some did it while still Canadian, That is treason. It is unimaginable to suggest a vision of Canada that would include them or those that supply them. You would disregard the damage they did to our country and our allies. You would ignore the strife they ignited. You would pardon people who cost us resources and who wanted to see us wiped out. These same people who invited our allies to turn against us and applauded mercenaries in joining with them.
Shame on you. This is disrespectful of all who stayed behind. It diminishes their loyalty and sacrifice. It ackowledges the terrorists as having done nothing wrong. That you would say this is unpardonable. Now to say that your are standing against insanity is fine, but what you see as insanity is not what Canadians see. Your view comes from the place the terrorists are at.
Please run so you can be clearly be taught the value of honour, and be trounced by the weight of pride we have in standing up to these terrorists and those who support them. We are true north, strong and free. We stand on guard. The terrorists want to take all of that from us. They have not surrendered yet you welcome them. You are doing nothing that would stand on guard for us by having them back. Who's interest are you standing on guard for?
You and Derakor both would disregard the 4 votes that have setlled the pardon issue and suggest another vote. Anyone that keeps looking back loses their focus on the horizon. I don't consider it vision to be unable to imagine a Canada that goes forward. Your policies would bring another month of discord. You have been part of the 18 months of the ineffective and stagnant political landscape. You would want us to wallow in it further.

We at Norsefire will campaign our membership and take note of interested people wishing to have a CP run. At that time, Norsefire Leadership will develop a campaign strategy that meets the interest and needs of the Party membership, and that of eCanada
