CPP - Put up or shut up

Day 799, 08:46 Published in Canada Peru by Sexin

First off, this isn't a knock on anyone in general but rather a punch in the nose to the collective.

Despite having more than a 100% voting record (Still not sure how that happened), the CPP managed 5 congressional seats in this past election. With numbers staggering at around 160 and the Union Nationale picking up tremendous steam, it's time we start doing something to solidify our spot in the top 5 or disband altogther and call it a day.

A brief history of the Canadian Paradox Party (Yanked from the wiki page):

The history of the CPP begins on the forums of the strategy game creator Paradox Interactive, where it was decided that companies and a party would be created to house those forum members (known as Paradoxians across the internet), who joined the game. The priority was put towards creating a food company and as such plans for a party were put on hold. These plans would come into fruition on the 1 January 2008 when the Canadian Paradox Party, founded by Prussian King (who would later become Tom Hagen) would come into being. Although the creation would be too late to gain the presidency in January, the speed with which the party overtook the Canadian Workers League as the largest party in Canada showed that it would become a force to be reckoned with. This publicity would lead to a snowball effect which would eventually propel the party into the Presidency. To read more about the Canadian Paradox Party, click here.

It is Canada's oldest political party and was once the crown jewel of our political system. It has suffered due to mismanagement and disinterest but I think it can be saved and flourish under the current Party President, lcamero but we've got to start now. We need those 160+ voters to be active, participate and help move the party forward and most importantly, give it some kind of identity. Otherwise, you'll be left voting for some DAL 2-clicker, some boring CSD nerd, a CPF zealot, a crazy Quebecer or wheover Rylde tells you to vote for. Oh, and someone from the CNC, but they're in the same boat as we are but with slightly more members.

So if you're interested in helping save a political party, join the CPP today. It doesn't matter if you started playing eRepublik a month ago or a year ago, if you have some ideas, we'd love to hear them.

Onwards Paradoxia! Onwards eCanada! Or it dies.
