CP Update - Dublin Free!

Hello Everyone,

This has been a crazy few days for eIreland and erepublik.
Battles are everywhere! Important battles with huge amounts of gold going into them.

It seemed as though early yesterday that Dublin could well have been lost for at least a few days and probably longer. But the opportunity arose due the huge number of very important battles across the eWorld the eUK had nigh on 10 different battles to fight in when Moomoohead pushed the button yesterday. We were granted permission from Eden HQ to give anything we had to reclaim Dublin, Moo said he'd take the monetary damage for the Resistance War and although many of our Irish citizens had already fought earlier that day, we decided to go ahead with it.

Considering how short a period everyone had been in the job and also the short notice of the battle, I believe we did extremely well. Individuals really came to the fore for Ireland and we were victorious. We had the opportunity and we took it.
There was a huge amount of effort in terms of time, I for one am absolutely wrecked, I know Marcus Suridius must be too and other members of the IDF and ICA. A big thank you must go to all of them and also Moomoohead for putting up the gold for the battle. I hope you’re happy with your new Resistance Hero medal, everyone in Ireland is also delighted with the return of Dublin.



So now that we’re almost a whole country, I’m going to announce some of the Ministry positions.



Ministries

Vice-President
My Vice President is Octavius Dryst from the IUP, we have quite a bit of an understanding. We’ve both been party presidents of large parties in Ireland for a while and I know the skills that that requires is exactly what we need in a vice president. He’ll definitely bring more organisation to the cabinet and I was delighted when I he accepted my offer.

This term, I’m also going to have a vVice President. Moomoohead from EFTS has worked tirelessly for Ireland in some of the biggest positions in government and exceeded in every department which he has held. I have no doubt that his advice and watching eye will prove to be invaluable for the success of this next month.

So as of yet we do not have a Minister of Recruitment, I have received a few messages from people and I'll be reviewing them again. Health
I'm getting the Health ministry into action tonight. It was oringally planned that yesterday we would be healing everyone, but then with the opportunity we had to take back Dublin. We decided to focus on that. I'm aware that there are many young players which require aid after the battles of Dublin. No More Theft
We've also made a new "safe" for the taxes, the idea of this is that only one person will ever have access to the org with the bulk of the tax payers money. This will hopefully reduce the amount of thefts which have been occurring.



Just to reiterate my thanks to all who partook in the battle for Dublin!
It really was a great effort. I hope the rest of the term isn't as busy as the last 24hrs have been, but I hope they're as good as the last 24hrs.
