CP Update 1
Aus Prime Minister Office
G’day eAustralia!
This article is long enough, so I will publish a Spanish version separately.
Este artículo es bastante largo, así que voy a publicar una versión en español por separado.
Just keeping everyone informed on what is happening in the eAustralian gov. The first few days of the term perhaps haven’t gone quite like clockwork, but your cabinet and congress are doing a great job!
News summaries by department:
Your Finance team has already published a budget for us. Look for another article soon, on a topic I think you will all find most interesting. But I will not spoil the surprise…
Your Education and Entertainment team will publish something fun and informative within a couple of days. They will follow that with another giveaway. It will be smaller than the last one, but that is not their fault!
Your Defense team is working on keeping orders updated and getting our military communications up to speed. Please keep yourselves informed of where to fight via the DoD updates. It is worth reading the update at least daily; one of these days it might surprise you!
Your Foreign Affairs team has been cranking out greetings to other governments and staying informed on some crazy developments across the e-globe. There have been AS and counter-AS proposals, confusion on which NE was finally accepted by whom, and some region switcheroos.
In our neighbourhood, Venezuela and Peru are trading some hits over Indonesian regions. At this time, we have no reason to think our regions will be threatened by the conflict. We are staying in touch with both countries, and will let you know if any action may be called for on our part.
“Hmm”, you say, “Sounds like cabinet is managing all the work.” Correct, you sharp bikkies! However, I have been having an interesting time finding my way around the country admin pages, consulting with gov about our MPP stack, and talking with other govs to keep up with what is happening around the e-globe.
The DoFA update will advise our citizens of several MPP’s that congress has already approved, as well as suggestions for others that the country can afford. So make sure to check out their article, and comment about what you think our stack should look like.
Other MPP’s: As you are aware, our MPP stack is limited by what our budget allows. I am able to personally support 3 MPP’s for eAustralia, and I have been considering what countries they should be with.
Netherlands and Aus have been good friends for some time. I think we should move this friendship up a notch with an MPP, and NL agrees. So that will be the first one I support.
We are no longer in a position to maintain MPP’s with all NEBULA countries. I will see what MPP’s are selected following the DoFA update, and I will support an MPP with one NEBULA Alliance member.
For now, my third selection will remain in the bank, so to speak, until it becomes clearer which MPP will have the most benefit to eAustralia. Funds for the above have already been donated to the Treasury.
As always, I welcome your opinions, questions, and suggestions.
Hail Australia!
Cheers/Saludos!

Should we not simply protect whomever offers the best protection for us?
It's not as simple as that, unfortunately. 😕
We have alliance obligations to meet. And, of course, damage is king.
Fair enough, still trying to get my head around the game, haven't really been exposed to the politics side of it yet 🙂
ID, I think we should take CB's comments as an application to the FA Academy! 😉
In a sense, that is exactly what we try to do. But consider that a country ranked top 10 in damage may not be all that interested in being "protected" by a country ranked in the 40's.
Then there are friendships where we historically come to each others' aid whenever it is needed, and fight as hard as we can for each other, whether the playing field is level or not.
Then there are the associations by official alliance, where our relationship with a group of countries affects where and who we will be fighting against...
So, yes, you are correct. But there are still choices to be made. 🙂
No problems JT, I wasn't so much pointing out that we find the biggest kid to hide behind, but a mutually beneficial pact where we're no better/worse off than the other party.
I'll pick up on this over time anyway, it's still very new to me.
Veo que usted habla espanol tambien, lo ascendencia?
It's good to see someone interested in the non-mechanical workings of the game! 🙂
Our problem is generally that eAustralia is as weak as water on the battlefield (ranked around 42 or so). Anyone that we would want on our side (top 10, by damage) is doing us a favour and is clearly the dominant party. Those ranked lower than us (Montenegro, say) where we could act more dominantly if we chose, don't bring a great deal of firepower to the table. With all MPPs costing the same, the realpolitik can be interesting.
Fundamentally, to improve our national lot in life we nee😛
1) more strength and wealth accruing to the citizens
2) more citizens.
Everything else is then secondary. Though that is a very bleak view of things...
I'm working my way up. Hoping to be a useful soldier in the future!
Really, there's a human element in this that is impossible to predict, not unlike realtime politics. I think that is what drew me to the game first time around (until life started to take a hold,) and once again now.
To be honest, I am very surprised the game did not take off the way I had expected it to.
You'll no doubt see why, soon enough. I won't ruin the surprise. 😕
