Blood, Toil, Tears and Sweat

eCanada, Exiles, MUs, Parties, those who agree with the pardon and those who don't, thief and assorted 'trolls'; I am NOT going to promise a land of milk of honey, magical babybooms, all resource bonuses and medals for all. I promise ONLY that things can get better and pledge myself to work to this end should you elect me. Over the course of a month and with so many problems facing us only a miracle would solve all these problems and I am no miracle worker. Apart from our internal divisions we have EPC causing trouble from abroad, disagreements with some of our key allies (eIreland) and may soon face a new ONE invasion of N.America. Our military needs an overhaul, corruption occurs in Congressional elections and we need more resources. If ANY Presidential candidate promises to be able solve ALL these problems they must have a magic wand that I do not posess. I have experience, some brains, and hard work to offer with clear sense of duty.

The truth is that no one situation in this game will suit everyone and some people will ALWAYS disagree with some policy or other. To this extent 'national unity' is unattainable but we CAN, in my opinion, form a 'general consensus' on general issues; defending our homeland takes priority, honesty in Congressional elections, providing the best funding and most cost effective weapons possible for our MUs, nurturing new eCanadians, Government transparency, accountability and communication, supporting our allies etc etc etc...

IF you elect me as your ePresident on April 5th I shall seek to build on matters where there is consensus with changes in institutions and new laws so that where we agree we can be stronger and more effective. I shall also seek to resolve some of the outstanding divisions which still cause us problems from disaffected exiles.

In the latest Addy Lawrence/EPC article, [EPC] Member List, Expanding Our Voice, and CP Elections (Day 158😎, the ex-CP says "Rather than campaign on the National Unity Destination, campaign on the National Unity Journey." To a point he is correct but without a destination in mind any journey is aimless. No we cannot achieve 'national unity' in a day by the formation of a Government composed of X, Y and Z. We can however take our first steps on the road; trying to resolve past differences, making our armed forces give more 'bang for the buck' and giving them greater say in our military plans, nurturing newer eCanadians, passing laws against Congressional corruption and laws that provide for greater Government transparency and accountability; tracking how and where YOUR money is spent.

"I say to eCanada as I say to ministers who may join this government, I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat. There IS no magic wand to solve our internal divisions or external threats. If you elect me on April 5th we shall however make a start on this road.

I have experience; 14 times MoFa in 4 countries, CP once, VP twice (acting CP once when the CP was away) and I promise my toil, sweat and honesty in YOUR service should you elect me.

In coming articles I shall seek to explain my plans and why they are advisable for our future.
