A Happy New Year to all. To start the year (or end it depending on what time zone you are in) we will return to the regularly scheduled Country Top Tens articles.



Romania become the latest empire to rise, which was expected to happen based on its rise in power over the last couple of weeks. Meanwhile, Serbia continues to grow in power while Hungary falls further behind. More and more countries are making gains in power, suggesting the rise of more empires next month. Due to the events over the last week in the UK, the UK's rank has fallen, but still remains formidable in 15th place.



It has been a quiet week in regards to population change. There appears to be more stabilization, especially in Latin American countries that were experiencing 10% drops in population every week. While overall population continues to decline, it is not as noticeable as before. Saying this, there are no signs of any major rises in population in the near future, despite attempts from admins to create baby booms as described in the previous edition. I wonder if anyone's New Year's resolution is to quit eRepublik 😛
