Country Top Tens #13

Day 2,284, 01:41 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by The Equalist

Populations worldwide continue to rise as massive changes are seen in the power index as a result on the new alliances.

This week has seen the greatest power shift in recent history. The formation of the new alliances, Asteria and Sirius, has already made its impact on the world map. Early statistics show Asteria is winning in multiple fronts against Sirius. While both Serbia and Romania continued to make major gains, Romania has taken over as the most powerful nation, by doubling its power index. Greece managed to fully regain its major losses from last week. Meanwhile, Poland and the United States, both members of Sirius, have fallen apart. Poland has lost its Empire status as both these countries lose well over half its power. The UK falls back to pre-imperial levels, although new wars might make that change, for better or worse. Note that Hungary still can't make up its mind. It is posted as 3,999 points, but as this article was written, it gained empire status. Chances are it might change again by the time you read this. The founding of the new alliances also coincides with a restructuring of divisions. It will be interesting to see how this new change affects battles in the coming weeks.

The population increase trend continues, with all but a few countries showing an increase in population. Since the trend is almost universal, there have been little changes to the rankings. While there may not be as many big spikes in population as seen in last week, there are still many solid numbers to report, with the UK starting to make gains as well.
