Country Top Tens #12

Day 2,276, 00:53 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by The Equalist

We are living in interesting times. New alliances are being forged while a worldwide baby boom appears to be in the making.

Major swings in power continue, as a new alliance is officially founded. Asteria, consisting of Argentina, Greece, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, and Slovenia, has had mixed outcomes over the past week. Romania had the largest gains, while Argentina and Greece had the largest losses. Like last week, a few countries were on the edge of being an empire and not. In the end, Romania lost its empire status while Hungary was not able to become an empire.

Continuing with the new trend of population growth, many countries appear to be having a baby boom. Poland and Brazil both gained over 1,000 new citizens, with many other countries experiencing a 10% increase over the past week. While this is happening in many countries, not all countries have benefited from the worldwide population growth. Countries such as Serbia, the United States, and United Kingdom have remained static over the past week, with a slight decline.
