Country President candidates about the NAP

Today we question the four candidates to the highest seat in our institution, the Country President's seat. The four canidates are:
-Sw33t Drinker, member of Labour Patriots. His candidacy is supported by Irish Freedom Party, Society of United Irishmen and the special commitee "Kurgan has no Balls". If elected, it would be his third consecutive term as a CP;
-Releasethe Kraken, from Saoirse Rogha Eire;
-T.E. Lawrence, party president of Irish Republican Army;
-EmperorPalpatine, president of Indipendent Labour Party, who already held the office of CP once.
We asked them few question about the Anglo-Irish Non Aggression Pact and the scenarios that can arise in the future, a matter of big concern that is a central issue in eIrish politcs and a central point of candidates propaganda for this Election.
Let see how they answered our questions.
Q.Lawrence, what is your opinion about the current NAP?
A.I believe it is a necessary means for us to hold a congress. It should only be upheld until we might be able to win back regions or come to complete peace with the UK. I’ll be declaring war to the eUK only under the right circumstances. Not at this point in time or in the foreseeable future, though.
Q.Releasethe Kraken, which are your intentions about the Anglo-Irish Treaty if you will be appointed by Irishmen as their President?
A.I’m going to issue an official statement about this topic in short. If I where CP I would try a training War with other regions of brittian and perhaps one of our regions. Say Mayo, Scotland and Northern Ireland. With the new DO change the armies of big nations will have to much activity and will look for smaller national skirmishes.
Q.EmperorPalpatine, let’s speak about future scenarios. The NAP is going to expire in about a month (due date is 4th of September). Will you, if elected, sign an extension of this pact?
A.I view the NAP as a necessary breath of fresh air. We are not wiped, our bonds with eUK will continue to grow as long as both nations keep their word, and it allows us to focus on helping our friends and focus on the eIrish community and government health.
I would do my best to extend the treaty and even perhaps try to gain another territory if it is at all possible. Obviously we want a wall to block any potential invaders, but gaining a region or two would be much appreciated.
Q.Sw33t Drinker, now. The man who gave us the Treaty. You have already shown to the people your opinions about the NAP by promoting, signing and enforcing it. Would you still sign that pact, nowadays?
A.The current incarnation of the NAP is the stepping stones from wiped to full sovereignty. The end goal is a 'white peace' agreement with Britain. I'm hoping to alter the conditions of the NAP if the situation permits. Essentially, I intend to extend the peace agreement with Britain. There is potential to make alterations to the agreement, though.
Q.Have you ever considered to declare war to our neighbors?
A.'Declaring War' would cost us 219g. I don't imagine anybody will be pressing the 'waste small fortune' button anytime soon!
During the interview all the candidates stated to believe that UK will honour the pact.
In the ending, we asked our candidates how would they act in case a fight-to-win Resistance War would be started by the Commander of a single Military Unit.
Releasethe Kraken told us that “lets just keep unsanctioned resistance wars in the dark.” He then added the consideration that “only 10 citizens are needed. do not have to be a MU commander ”.
Sw33t Drinker has been rather clear, stating that “A nation who doesn't honour agreements they've made has no future in this game. Not only will I not support an illegal attempt to break our word, I will actively deploy against such attempts. This has already occurred.”
EmperorPalpatine said he would not uphold such an action because “It would be a waste of CC, possibly endanger the whole nation (for the sake of gaining one region?), and damage our trustworthiness”.
Lawrence did not rejected the chance of gain a region, saying that “Depending on the stature of the NAP i will inform our other soldiers to stand down and or help the British withhold regions.” Later on, he made clear that “This is not the case for cork”.
We hope our interview will help both pro and anti-treaty to understand what the candidates will do, if elected, about this matter. For the sake of Ireland and eDemocracy, go and vote!

A RW can't be started by a MU commander as it needs ten people to cough up the money. I assume you mean RWs in Shannon or Mayo started by whoever?
I think he meant that a MU commander told his troops to start a RW and to fight in it.

The treaty still sucks. I've repeatedly had it explained why it exists and can understand why some cling to it like a small child clings to a blankie when the monsters are under the bed. Still doesn't make it a good treaty.
You misquoted me on the part about an unsanctioned RW what I said is that since the IA is run by the MOD and since its the only army that can actually win the whole thing we will just say nothing official and handle it in the IA where I am also a member. In fact we will probably give a stand down order or in the worst case help the other side. The MU Do's will apparently just be for the top 50 MU in the world so dont expect a MU DO from our side soon.

it was the same in France, and see the situation..when the strongest is not agree anymore : he wipes the other nation.
and the result is a nation without region, without honor because accepting a treaty of obedience and without pride.

thanks. However, those written are opinions from candidates, not mine. I agree with you that if an aggressive government take over the UK, we will be at war and wiped without expecting it. For this I asked to the candidates if they believe the brits to be trustworthy.
The eBrits serve TWO. We get wiped at the whim of ePoland. If the eUK is such an honored member of TWO, why has Welsh been outlawed and Polish taught in all the schools?

Thanks for the article. I would like to make a small correction in that the Kurgan Has No Balls party is a legitimate party and not a committee.
Nice article Achab. Getting the thoughts of CP candidates out to the people is important.
Also I think the NAP is a good thing. Months without a Congress means no immigration. No treasury to speak of. Not everyone can self supply and fight the good fight. Many rely on government and with no NAP we don't have that. We lose as a nation. We grow weaker.
It is tough to strengthen your nation when you don't have one.

The bottom line is that war with the eUK would not be patriotic or gutsy. Likewise our decision to admit defeat was not cowardly, it was simply time to accept a conclusion that we all knew we had coming.

Ian, any time TWO wants to wipe us, they can and will. As long as TWO holds the leash on the eUK, we can get wiped at their whim. Now how is huddling in a corner saying please don't hit me going to help us any?
