Countries, Gold Mines and Damage

Day 2,430, 07:46 Published in Greece Greece by AstaldoTheVala

This is my first try in English so bear with me 🙂

The New World Cup is over! Time to see how countries performed in the final stage of the competition.
Remember, there were eight countries which competed for Gold Mines in the final. The Gold Mine winners are:

Each country had a certain amount of damage to achieve in order to reach the first milestone and win 200 gold. Every country managed to reach it except one, Armenia. Another surprise was the country with the highest percentage (3016.8%) in the competition, Venezuela.

Here are all the countries, the percentage they reached and the damage they needed for the 100% milestone (approximately). It'll come in handy for future reference.

The ten countries with the highest damage requirements (11th is Armenia!):

and the lowest:

I speculate that country's damage targets are calculated from the number of citizens, their strength and rank.
I believe the data were maybe a few days old and many players changed citizenship during this time. That's why big tanks immigrating in small countries can make the difference in this kind of competitions IMHO. For example (Venezuela):

Overall it was a nice event with fairly good prizes (the total amount of gold given to countries was 62.875).
I wonder if we should expect some major changes with all this gold pumping into the game.

The concept was great but the implementation has failed. If the game developers can't support a feature, in this case guerilla fights, the least they should do is not making it almost mandatory. Sure, not taking into account the damage from bombs and bazookas has levelled the field for all players, but their greatest asset for gaining more damage was denied (especially in the last days of the tournament).

And don’t forget! The point is to HAVE FUN!
