Count Me In

Day 1,329, 23:45 Published in USA USA by Jamarcus

Hello America,

I would like to take a moment of your time to announce that I am running for Party President of the Libertarian Party.

It took a lot of thinking before I finally decided to throw my hat in the ring. We have great candidates already in the race, but I believe that our party is in serious trouble, and that I am obliged to do what I can to turn things around.

Over the period of the past few months, our party and our country has been in decline. With the full on invasion of the States by four of the most powerful nations in ONE, apathy in our country has hit a record high. The pounding we took, and continue to take, has put a real snag in our ability to not only retain new players, but also two-clickers and established players alike. Now that the thrill of removing America from the map is gone, we have an opportunity to start over.

In this post-wipe world, the USA must look itself in the mirror and ask what kind of country it wishes to become. Do we want to become a completely irrelevant country such as Singapore? Or do we want to become the powerhouse nation we once were?

America has a long and tough road ahead. In this crucial time in our nation’s history, the last thing we need is a void in leadership. The task of building and molding America’s future lay with our political parties. When we have an active, strong, and competitive Top 5, the country is more active, stronger, and competitive. It is my view that the Libertarian Party is not as active, strong, and competitive as it once was. At one point in time, we grew to become the second largest political party in the country and we were a force to be reckoned with. Somehow, we managed to have as much fun as the UIP and SEES, but also managed to be just as effective and organized as the Feds and USWP. With the exit of DanielCD, Claire Littleton, Jelly9473, CRoy and others, I think we’ve lost some of our identity. We’ve dropped down to 5th place in membership and have remained stagnant while the AMP continues to climb the political ladder with their eyes set on overtaking the USWP. And I believe they will because they have the drive and determination to not stop until they reach #1.

I run because I don’t want to see the spirit of the Libertarian party ever die, nor do I wish to see the party die. If you all will join me in this effort to rebuild our party and our country, I think we might just pull it off. I’ve served as a Party President of both the Democratic and Green Parties and I’ve served as our Chief of Staff under DanielCD. I’m confident that I have the leadership skills and experience to do all that is asked of me as your Party President. So I ask that you vote for me on the 15th of July.
