It most likely got converted to Gold and used to buy something (like weapons). It was such a worthless amount of money and I don't remember 90% of the transactions on that list. I'm pretty sure I gave it to tanks, but I honestly don't remember. It was only worth like 15 Gold at the time and whatever I did with it was something necessary.

Profitable state run companies never happen, and never help the poorest people. Quite the opposite in fact, they only perpetuate poverty by requiring higher taxes to subsidize a company making worthless products. The only person who benefits are the greedy politician who can shave off some of the extra money stolen as taxes to line their own pockets.

Good to know. However, I still think that it would be more cost-effective and more beneficial to regulate the price of food via a government-owned company, rather than sending out donations to everybody who "needs" it.

Besides, everybody would just apply to such a system. You need an effective way to sort out the "needy" from the "greedy". Otherwise, you'll just end up wasting money on people that could do without the free food.

You will waste enormous amounts of money on inactive people. People could be gone for months at a time, and you will continue wasting money buying food for them every day.

Also, this system shouldn't be based on wellness, but rather, income. People with low wellness who earn ~10 CNY per day definitely don't need your help. On the other hand, people with ~80 wellness who only earn 2 CNY per day definitely will, in the long run. Granted, wellness is usually proportional to income, but most companies pay initial wages at least enough for the worker to survive. Therefore, people with low wellness who hop jobs can guarantee that they will have enough to eat every day, as long as they are at a decent skill level. Admittedly, that is annoying, but still.

Besides, this will discourage people from actually doing anything. If all they need to do for free food is keep their wellness low, then I'll guarantee that there will be people who will take advantage of your attempt at communism.
