Singapore is an incredibly vulnerable nation that elected the former American John Jay as president. The fact that John Jay knows his way around military strategy, in my mind, outweighs the fact that he was one of those leading the anti-scrabman charge by leaving the USA when scrabman was re-elected to a second term. The latter point, by the way, is purely political.

Sweden is a strategic nation, placed squarely in the middle (or above the middle) of the most consistently-turbulent region in eRepublik. We need them and they may well need us in the near future. In the face of an arrogant PEACE without an organized opposition coalition, Sweden is key.

I broke protocol with this bill. Yes, I broke protocol because I'm seeing all of these tax bills go up for voting and I'm not seeing any discussion threads in the Taxes board on the eUS forum. I posted my proposal in the Taxes board after I put it up. That post was only the second topic posted in 20 days, and only the ninth since scrabman created the board in March. The responses to my proposal were that of two varieties: the first being that it was a good proposal and should garner votes—as long as it was understood that protocol should not be broken. The second was a procession of statements (some well put and some pretty doltish) asking when the sky begins to fall and why we even have a congress if there's no discussion involved. I suppose that what we don't need is a Tax board on the eUS forum if all the proposals go through the main body first. My complaint is arbitrary to those not in congress and without access to these boards. Regardless, our nation would have been better off had my proposal passed. Next time I'll follow protocol even if the protocol is flawed.
