Congressional Report: Reorganization and Combining of CTF and IES

Day 960, 13:23 Published in USA USA by Necros Xiaoban

The 31st Mandate:

Congress is taking a keen interest in V2, especially the new wages and peg. Anyone who had a job in V1 is now making 1/8th their old wage, so the 'minimum wage' for those people is $0.13/hr. At least for the moment, Congress cannot set the minimum wage any lower then $1/hr.

This has the potential to create problems, given that if people work 8 hours a day, at old style wages, the peg ought to deflate to .003G = 1 USD. Given that it costs .005G to print 1 USD, the government would lose money every time money was printed.

Congress has filed bug reports with admin asking for minimum wage limits to be removed, or the cost of printing money reduced, so we can continue with the business of running a government.

Reorganization and Combining of CTF and IES:

The Citizenship Task Force, which was staffed by ordinary citizens to check citizenship applications, and the IES, staffed by Senators to verify and approve citizenship applications, have now merged into the Immigration and Citizenship Enforcement bureau.

The CTF portion of IES will be responsible for flagging applicants who don't require an interview for speedy approval, while IES will continue its work of interviewing, researching, and approving foreign candidates.

Any citizens interested in applying for the CTF should contact Laurenbug.

As a service to the American public, I provide a record of every Senator's vote, by state, for every publicly held vote this term, as well as a break down by party. If a Senator resigns, their absence will not be counted against their party.
