Congressional Report (5/27)

Day 1,284, 16:41 Published in USA USA by Jufedkg Borman
Hello There Everyone!

I was recently elected as Vermont's Congressmen and I campaigned on greater transparency and increased communication with my constituents. To that end, I'll be publishing a weekly Congressional Report to keep you guys up to date. This first one is just for the last few days, later ones will be longer and have greater depth.

This is the first few days of my first term, so I've been spending a lot of time reading up and trying to educate myself so I can better serve Vermont and America.

My Bills
I haven't sponsored any bills or motions yet, but I have begun to actively contribute to discussion.

My Votes
Thursday May 26th, 4:52 PM EST – I voted no against c4q4l’s proposal of no natural enemy
• Our constitution mandates that all bills/proposals be posted on the forums first and discussed there before they're proposed in-game. I searched hard but could not find a thread for this, therefore, I must constitutionally vote against this.
• Further, I disagree with this proposal. We have many enemies right now, we can't afford to not have a natural enemy.

Thursday May 26th, 5:18 PM EST – I voted yes for Emerick’s proposal of a mpp with Ukraine
• As an Eden country I feel fine approving a MPP with Ukraine. Further, they're on a list of pre-approved countries: http://eusaforums.com/forum/index.php/topic,7116.0.html

Thursday may 26th, 7:02 PM EST – I voted yes for c4q4l’s proposal to transfer $99,999 USD from the country accounts to the Congressional Budget Office
• This transfer of funds is necessary to fund the country’s business. This bill isn't so much a bill which needs debating, but rather a mechanical process that needs to be done daily to keep funds in the CBO - which is the only place money can be so that we can control it. All further votes in this category will be yes, unless the bill is detected to be unverified (Some Congressmen trying to transfer the money to themselves)

Friday May 27th, 5:33 PM EST – I voted yes for Ian John Locke IV’s proposal to transfer $99,999 USD from the country accounts to the CBO
• Necessary

That's about everything so far. I'll continue to keep you guys updated with myself and the Congressional procedures.

Residents of Vermont, I encourage you to subscribe! That way, you can have the easiest most up to date information regarding your Congressman and your state.

Until next time
