I, CivilAnarchy, of the Socialist Freedom Party, hereby announce my candidacy for Congress in the great state of Arkansas!

Decided that I love congress, and I'm going to head out for a second term. In my short month in congress, I learned quite a bit about how the country works, and did a bit of work to help my eCountry function as well.
Might as well include a little list of my qualifications to feed me own ego.

Economics


Yea I went there

Taxes: The taxes of the US need to be balanced between the need of the government and the wellness of the citizen. I will oppose any taxes that would prevent citizens of the eUS from attaining a high standard of life in the eWorld, and ensure that the balance is kept in place.

Government Companies/0 Skill Hubs: 0 skill hubs are a necessarily program for every country in the eWorld, in order to ensure that new players can get started working. If elected, I would support programs educating the people working at these companies, and support expanding these companies into full education centers, rather than them just being job facilities, and use them to increase the overall education of new players, and hopefully result in making more new players stay.

Market Stability Acts: There have been times in the history of the eUS where we have been attacked. Nearly every Congressmen has an obligation to ensure the stability and safety of their country in any way that they are able to from their position. Not too long ago, there was an attempt on the economic stability of the eUS. If re-elected, I will work towards the creation of programs to predict, and more accurately prevent these types of attacks. To add onto our current protection and create total market security. The people in charge of this branch could range from simple market researchers, to diplomatic Congressmen predicting the next hit.


Government Programs and Policy


Education: As of yet, there have been various education programs begun by the government and individual citizens alike, and it seems to have been effective. If elected, I would work towards maintaining and expanding these programs. One specific thing I would do is work towards the creation of a government committee or division to help individual parties start up their own newbie training programs. From what I've seen, political parties can train newbies the best, simply because they have the most initiative to do so. If each party is given tools to train their new players, they will do so effectively. And in only a matter of a few weeks, results shall be seen.


Congressional Paper/Journalism Training: Coinciding with the transparency of government, I would push for an expansion of the emerging Congressional Paper. Having this as a resource would give us an official source of information about congressional news and whats going on at the time. This would allow for greater public understand of whats going on in congress, and hopefully greater knowledge about past congressional affairs to new congressmen. Furthermore, I believe that aspiring journalists should be allowed to help write in this paper, along with congressmen of course. Any increase in the quality of the US media would be a plus.

New Player Research: An idea that I've been thinking over for while is the creation of a committee or extension of an existing committee to lead a project into figuring out what exactly we could do to increase the amount of new players that stay with the game. Our active player count is going down, slowly, yet there is a difference. Therefore, we must evaluate every option possible to ensure that our country does not fall into obscurity. The only way we can do this is by turning our focus to the subject of population booms, and our country's ability to keep players active in the game. The goal of the committee I would work towards would be two fold. It would first of all research Real world options to create a population boom for the united states. This branch is broad, and can apply to most things IRL that could spread erepublik awareness. Secondly, the committee will look for radical new ways to keep new players active in the game. We're currently giving new citizens access to military programs (TC), proper education, Food, supplies, anything and everything you can think of off the top of your head. The end result for this committee will be to find a project that can possibly create a population boom, while research new methods of keeping new players in the game.


Increased focus on the IES: If its not plainly obvious by the 14-some times I have mentioned it. ME WANT MORE PEOPLE PLAY EREPUBLIK. Now the second best thing compared to getting new players to the game, is accepting already existing players into the country that are currently applying to the eUS. From what I've seen about the IES, a handful of people do a TON of work. If we could increase the efficiency of this program, we could help counteract the lowering amount of active players in the nation.


Military Policy: Currently the military position of the eUS is one of offense. At the moment we have taken a break, but the fighting will begin again. If elected, I will push for necessary military action only. I support the actions of the military, as long as they are of our own self defense, or of just cause.

Alternative Ideas: Make Krems, Rheinlander, and DrTango do Everything.
