Join the new world

As everyone knows, the recent Congress elections are now over and the votes have been tallied.

From myself and everyone here at New Era we would like to thank the people who took the time to campaign and vote for the New Era party. Whilst we did not achieve the same level of seats as last congress, we still out performed how we had expected.

As a new party, to gain 7 seats (not counting Huey) is still an exceptional achievement, so well done to everyone involved.



Congratulations to the members of New Era who will go forth to represent the party in congress for the next month, we know each of you will represent the party well and do us proud.. and congratulations to Huey George of course! And i wish you a fond farewell as you return to the Workers Rights Party... i am not too familiar with Huey, but from what i have seen since he was here in New Era, he is a man well deserving of the congress position.



Also congratulations to the other parties involved in the congress elections, and especially to UKPP, who have gained the top party in congress and achieved 73 more votes than they gained in October, this to go on top of them recently becoming the UK's no.1 ranked party.




With the elections now over it brings me on to the major topic running most press releases lately... the rivalry between TUP and New Era (and to a lesser extent UKPP).

Lately there has been flame/slander wars ongoing between the parties via Mail and Comments. I, for one, am fed up seeing these sort of reactions between the rival parties. Yes as in any political situation, parties will have different policies, they will have their arguments and they will have those members who speak out more radically than others... but within eUK we all have one goal, to further develop the UK to meet the expectations we all know we can achieve to see this country progress back to where we should be, higher in the rankings!



It may ask a lot, and wounds may still be deep from recent happenings, but personally i feel it is about time the parties moved towards having less hate between them and more of a sense of progression.

As a fairly new player myself, i know it can feel daunting and intimidating to see the big 3 parties arguing so vociferously within practically all articles. This can lead to new players being put off continuing to play, therefore losing perhaps a future CP who may help with turning things around.
