congratulations Thanatos
Arriaes
To start of with i would like to congratulate Thanatos with winning the presidential elections. I believe he will make a good president and that he will do a great term.
for his term as a CP i have a couple of things i would like to say. To start of with i really support your focus on the military since this is one of the most important aspects of erepublik. The military is also very important for the activity of all belgian citizens. But i hope you and your cabinet will focus on more then just the millitary.
One of the biggest issues that belgium has at the moment (or at least this is what i think is the biggest problem) is our small active community and our nearly dead forum. Therefore we need a population boost. I think that the best way to increase our population is to attract citizens from other countries. I believe that the government should post articles in big countries and promote belgium as a country with great opportunities even for new(er) citizens compared to the big countries where you probably wont be noticed untill you have played for a long time. I also see a second way to boost our activity, I suggest that there should be more state organised competitions such as writing contests(about political subjects, humor, economy, military...), MU contests,... I would also like to see our national forum involved in these contests. The next idea is not my own but i simply stole it from the Netherlands XD. I suggest we give a certain amount of BEF to players who register on the national forum (something like 150BEF in the netherlands it is 250BEF but personally i think its a little bit much) This might not only attract more new players to the forum but it also gives a financial boost to new players because it will be mostly them who register to our forum.
I hope this article will get some attention from our new CP and his cabinet and that you consider some of my ideas.
I would like to invite everyone to give their view on what should be done by our new CP and criticise or support this article in the comment section below or in the forum topic that i will open in a couple of minutes.
Oh and dont forget to vote, sub and comment! 😉

"I believe that the government should post articles in big countries and promote belgium as a country with great opportunities"
Although I like that you have so many idea sadly this doesn't work, one of my first job in erepublik many moons ago was (deputy) minister of Tourism in eSouth Africa. We posted articles to come to eSouth Africa in many countries but it didn't help at all.
Keep up the good work though
Maybe targeting lower lvl players would work. Promoting belgium as a land where they can make something from themselves without the big amount of experience needed like in some bigger countries. And offering to pay for the travel costs might help to. Could you perhaps send me a link to the articles/paper because im planning to put some research in this matter 😉
thank you for letting me know!
I am not sure I would be able to find these articles, I am talking about like 5 years ago so. Either way recruiting (too many) people from other countries also has it's downside like PTO threath. I am not sure if this is really the way to go.
To bad about the articles and a PTO threat is a downside indeed. Maybe targeting individuals is an option? Making a standardised PM to be send to ex-belgians?
We already asked some ex-eBelgians to come back ...
But let's spam them again ! 😃
great idea XD
good luck for your new job and congrats : )

giving money to register on the forum does not work, they will come to get the money and never come back, before we had programs for those who daily logged in on the forum, but we can afford this any more.
A population boost from other countries is nice, but there are so much players that fear a PTO that they block that possibility, already now many think that there are too much foreigners.
A lot was already done before but all that effort is lost in the last year due the clan forming, something we tried to change, but some new elements have made the gap even bigger than before, not easy in eBe to do something that pleases everybody.
"giving money to register on the forum does not work, they will come to get the money and never come back"
Even if they don't come back the money will be spend on mostly new players who register to the forum. I also believe that most of them will just come to get the money and then never return but even if 1/5 stays i would see it as a succes. Another point is that once they have made a forum account the step to making a forum post in the future will be a lot smaller. If people want to make a post about something small in the future they would probably not do it if they have to register and apply for the citizen's mask first.

I believe we can prevent PTO's by making an entry quota.
As an example: we put a quota of granting citizenship to maximum 10 people from the same country each month. This way it would take about 3 months to infiltrate a decent amount of PTO'ers.

no vote, not for the title neither the content, "the biggest issue is a part off our community"

Everyone else in this comment section came here and either supported my ideas or did not support them but gave a decent reason why not. Exept for you. If you go around and do nothing but say that we have a bad community then you might want to consider that you one of these people that make this community bad.
1) your member off the parties involved
2) i've writing numerous articles about the problems we have if you had taken the effort (something required for objective journalisme) you would have looked....
So yes it says something about a part of the community
"i've writing numerous articles about the problems we have if you had taken the effort (something required for objective journalisme) you would have looked...."
1) ofcourse its not objective journalism because its not supposed to be. its my opinion on the current belgian situation.
2) I actually did read some of your articles which where pretty good actually but i don't think you can just write a couple of articles (and most of them about this situation are already pretty old) and then be free of having to explain your critics
3) don't generalise people because they're in a certain party. Every party has good and bad people in it i'm sure your has to.
4) you still didn't give an actual explanation why you think we have a bad community
