Concept Idea: Bring Back Strategic Locations!!!!!!

Day 1,401, 12:54 Published in USA Canada by Emperor Rick

Wouldn't it be nice if this game had global strategy again?

Place private property in a state, and lock it there...
Suppose you own a farm, and that it was placed in a territory with high grain resources. It should produce more then a farm in a territory without the resource bonus naturally... Right now companies exist as an ability to your citizen, it doesn't matter if you live in the US or Antarctica, you can work in your own factory and do whatever you want. We might as well be playing World of Warcraft and call it a skill because there is no strategic value as a community with the way things are.

I would like to see the farms linked to the specific territory. So if the territory were captured the farms should be under enemy occupation making them useless until the territory could be recaptured. (or used to benefit the occupying country if you don't care about paying their taxes)

Admins suck
You see long ago before the admins stopped giving two shits about ingame strategy (or even capitalism while we're on subject) we had something very similar when organizations were still around. We had forts protecting the state's local inhabitants, we had hospitals keeping us healthy. This concept could have evolved with a nice map showing each state's infrastructure and other possible improvements. There could have been a dynamic that would weigh the pros and cons to going to war or staying at peace due to economic possibilities. (right now, if you wan't a healthy "economy" we must stay in perpetual war) but instead the admins thought they could make money by making sure gold was expensive, and so valuable that IRL losers would spend IRL money to get it. Thus their focus has been what you see today.

It could have looked like this

But instead we got this
