Yesterday we got Kosovo as a new region added to eSerbia and Albania as a new country in eEurope. And really now eRepublik Map has less and less gray areas as Plato said in their newest blog article: eRepublik is welcoming eAlbania and the new region of eSerbia, Kosovo!!.

Only few days ago we could still see this:

More or less fortunately (after recent international Kosovo poll) the gap was filled and now it looks like this:

Albania, Area: 28,748 km2, Population: 2,994,667, GDP: $4,131 per capita;
Kosovo, Area: 10,908 km2, Population: 1,733,872, GDP: $3,103 per capita.

However, eRepublik map is far from being completely filled. Moreover, even in eEurope there is still quite a lot of work left to do.

8 Missing Countries in eEurope

When it comes to the new countries left to implement in eEurope, there are still 8 countries missing in Europe.

The largest one is Iceland, followed by Luxembourg, Andorra, Malta, Lichtenstein, Monaco, Vatican and San Marino.

Iceland, Area: 103,001 km2, Population: 318,452, GDP: $39,025 per capita.

Luxembourg, Area: 2,586.4 km2, Population: 511,840, GDP: $108,831 per capita.

Andorra, Area: 467.63 km2, Population: 84,082, GDP: $34,240 per capita.

Malta, Area: 316 km2, Population: 417,608, GDP: $19,746 per capita.

Liechtenstein, Area: 160.475 km2, Population: 36,010, GDP: $134,045 per capita.

San Marino, Area: 61.2 km2, Population: 31,887, GDP: $44,208 per capita.

Monaco, Area: 1.98 km2, Population: 35,986, GDP: $151,630 per capita.

Vatican, Area: 0.44 km2, Population: 829, GDP: $23,595 per capita.

Unfortunately, eRepublik map is not precise enough to show the last three countries.

I have managed to find 7 out of those 8 missing countries' flags in eEurope on eRepublik. So, according to eRepublik image database, Admins have foreseen a possibility of these countries being added to eRepublik eventually.

Here is the list of the flags links:

If you manage to find a flag of Liechtenstein, please let me know... I couldn't guess its file name.

Caucasian Eurasian Countries

If we add to these countries also the transcontinental countries (such as Russia and Tukey) in the Caucasus region of Eurasia, we can expand the list from 8 to 12 countries.

Kazakhstan (+ Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan) eRepublik map gap.

Kazakhstan, Area: 2,724,900 km2, Population: 16,600,000, GDP: $10,951 per capita.

Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia gray area

Azerbaijan, Area: 86,600 km2, Population: 9,165,000, GDP: $7,914 per capita.

Georgia, Area: 69,700 km2, Population: 4,636,400, GDP: $2,658 per capita.

Armenia, Area: 29,743 km2, Population: 3,262,200, GDP: $2,846 per capita.

Missing Regions of European Countries

When it comes to regions in eEurope or close to Europe and belonging to European countries, eRepublik misses at least these ones:

Greenland, Denmark

Faroe Islands, Denmark

Jan Mayen, Norway

Pantelleria, Italy (Sicily)

Gibraltar, United Kingdom
The map is also not precise enough for Gibraltar to be shown.

Spanish Constituent Lands

Ceuta, Melilla (+ Morocco, Algeria)

Ceuta, Spain

Melilla, Spain

Caucasus region contains 3 partially recognized and unrecognized countries, that is, 3 'Kosovo-like' regions, although they are recognized by a far shorter list of other countries (unlike Kosovo, which is recognized by 85 UN members and 3 non-UN members). So if added to eRepublik, they would surely become regions of Georgia and Azerbaijan.

Abkhazia, Georgia
South Ossetia, Georgia

Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijan (unrecognized by any UN members)

The complete list of European sovereign states and dependent territories you can check here:
List of sovereign states and dependent territories in Europe

European Countries Overseas Territories

There are other, oversees territories of European Countries from European Union, which are still left grey on eRep map:

Falkland Islands, United Kingdom

France has at least 17 oversees territories outside Europe:

Constituent Lands of France

I'll mention at least the two largest ones:

French Guiana, France [Area: 83,534 km2, Population: 217,000, GDP: $20,904]

New Caledonia, France [Area: 18,576 km2, Population: 256,27, GDP: €25,450]

Adding New Territories to eRepublik

I guess that the fact that we have Kosovo added to eRepublik and not all these others listed here shows us something about characters of communities involved (and Admins' will, of course, as a result of community pressure or lack of pressure). I wouldn't like to generalize, but it seems that the main differences between Serbian people and for instance French people or Nordic countries nations like Danes and Norwegians or Icelanders in eRepublik, is that the latter ones are more patient, more polite and less conflicting than the former ones. If Serbian population was louder when they demanded adding Kosovo, than the other nations which might have similar wishes, it doesn't mean that these other countries don't deserve its regions just as well. If Kosovo and Albania are added to eRepublik, there should be no reason not to add them all. If there is a will, there is a way. If there is no will, there is an excuse. Wait and see.

Which country is the next?

Of course, adding Kosovo and Albania also sends a message to the other communities interested in adding their lands to eRepublik. Be loud, be persistent and be (im)patient! Admins will give in eventually and implement it.

How soon that might be, could depend on their estimate on how much money can that bring them. So, let's try to calculate that for some countries.

We could take top 10, middle ten and the last ten countries by their CS population in eRepublik or we could take some samples and let's see what we get.

There are many factors which determine if a country is a good candidate for eRepublik. According to my 2 year eRepublik experience, I would make a list of those factors:

Population of the RL country, GDP per capita, internet penetration, being a conflicting nation and how many conflicting nations in the neighborhood, just to name the most important or obvious ones.
