So, the last few days have been interesting from an election standpoint. Primaries ending, candidate drama, some underhanded actions, all building up to the climactic 5th. Personally, I’d like to personally thank all of the parties that placed their trust in me via their endorsements.

About the American Military Party, you may have noticed that Haliman has dropped off the ballot for Country President. When he found out about the RLC’s last minute proposal of Glove for President, he decided to give up his candidacy in favor of the Unity vote against the Republican Liberty Caucus. A noble move, above all. Considering Haliman dropped his candidacy, that means the AMP endorsement goes to the person who received the 2nd most votes in the primary, which ended up being myself, with 26 votes as opposed to Haliman’s 32. Considering the fact that Game Mechanics prevent endorsements from being made after the 2nd, the AMP will not be able to endorse me ingame. I’ve been in Haliman’s position before, and it’s never an easy choice to make. For that I offer my thanks, and my promise, not to let that confidence down, and not to let his sacrifice go in vain.

Now, if you haven’t noticed yet, the Republican Liberty Caucus decided to appoint a candidate to run after all, as if we all didn’t know they would. The intention of the RLC leadership and their candidate was to wait until the last hour they could possibly endorse, to attempt to prevent a Unity Candidate from being endorsed. This was a fairly badly kept secret though, especially considering the fact Glove made a public announcement on the BoL forums. In addition to these tactics, the RLC attempted to use quite a few other means of increasing their chances, including, but not limited to;

Attempting to Bribe the iNCi President to endorse Glove with 125k CC
Bribing the #4 candidate, resita2009, with a cabinet position to get him off the ballot
Trading American Citizenship for Party Membership and support

This is really just the tip of the iceberg regarding all of the things the RLC leaders and supporters have done to mess with the country, which doesn’t even count the numerous rogue approvals, impeachments, and costing the country 1.2 Million USD worth of donation blockages.


I’m not that kind of candidate. The parties that support me don’t work to hurt the country. The parties that support me are the kind of people that work hard to see the nation prosper, and are filled to the brim with hard workers and patriotic Americans, real ones. That’s the reality of this election. It’s no coincidence that Glove is supported by the party that doesn’t have a primary, and has a history of using underhanded tactics to increase it’s own political power. Just ask yourself a simple question.

Over the course of the last three months, which parties have contributed more to the nation?

The USWP, AMP, and Federalists?

The Republican Liberty Caucus?

The Republican Liberty Caucus is afraid. They’re afraid of me and what I can do in retaliation to the attacks they’ve made on our country for the past month. That’s why they were waiting until the last possible hour to declare a candidate. That’s why they’ve been walking in the shadows for this election. That’s why they attempted to bribe, cheat, and ‘appoint’ their way to victory. We’ve all sat and watched as they’ve run amok with the money that helps our soldiers and our new players, while they approve countless enemy combatants to the country with blatant disregard for their actual loyalty to the country. And I’m bloody tired of it.

I refuse to allow the RLC to intimidate me, and I refuse to allow the RLC to continue harming our nation. If there’s one thing that I can fall back on, one thing that has never faltered throughout my three years here on eRepublik, it’s my word. I might not be the most intelligent player, nor the most powerful, or wealthy, but what I say I’m going to do something, I’m damn well going to do it. So, if you choose to elect me President tomorrow, here’s what I’m going to do, and on that, you have my word.


Civilization
1. White Peace with Canada
2. Resign previous MPPs with every willing nation
3. Reform America’s ATO structure for usage on the 15th
4. Reform the DoI to eliminate redundancies and support our new players effectively
5. Enter the war against Indonesia to support Brazil and Australia
6. Revolutionize the National Security Council to give us the best Military coordination possible

Above all else, I’m a man who’s dedicated to his country. I’ll do everything within my power to do what’s right by our people, our soldiers, and our new players. It is the extent of my responsibility to provide those individuals with the best possible country to prosper in. We’re a nation of great means, and great community. Yet without that community, we become nothing. I will never lose sight of that idea, and nor should you. It’s the very thing that keeps us all here, spending the hours together, fighting together, and living together.

The power is ours, America.
We’re a country today, but tomorrow, we begin the path towards Civilization.
