China Conquers Liaoning as RWs Flare Worldwide, Day 1049

Day 1,049, 15:21 Published in USA USA by Lieutenant Scheisskopf

My apologies for the lack of eRepublik maps in this edition. There is a problem getting
the page to load properly, which is keeping me from accessing the New World's map.

The New World has become embroiled in conflict as the new war module makes fighting easier and less time-intensive. One day after eCroatia was stifled in a five-front invasion of neighboring eSlovenia, the rest of the world took to the battlefronts on Day 1048, with plenty of battles with outcomes worth watching for Day 1049. Of note is eChina’s latest push to liberate Liaoning, eSpain’s anticipated strike on eFrance’s stone fortresses, and resistance wars (RWs) targeting many strategic holdings across the New World.

China Conquers Liaoning with EDEN Backing
eChina attacked the world’s most heavily contested region, eSerbian-occupied Liaoning, once more on Day 1048, and enjoyed success throughout the course of the battle. Although eSerbia faced conflict in other regions during the fight for Lion King, eSerbia nevertheless directed its citizens to fight in Liaoning and make the valuable iron hub its main region to win. EDEN mobile forces supported eChina en masse and rejoiced in the victory alongside their eChinese partners. History was undone this day, as well, as an incredible effort by eSerbia to get to East Asia (Malaysia is in Southeast Asia)several months ago was erased. A move by ePoland later in the day to enter Inner Mongolia may be intended to help eChina protect Liaoning from any Phoenix counterattack, but only time will tell how this front develops in the coming days.

Possibly to counter and distract eChina and its eUSA allies, two RWs flared in eChinese-occupied Eastern Siberia and eUSA-occupied Far Eastern Russia shortly after the fight for Liaoning began. RWs on valuable regions is a time-proven method of draining damage from other fonts, and although FER frequently faces RW campaigns, the eUSA’s hold of FER was challenged early, as the Phoenix-backed Resistance Force took two phases of the struggle while much of the real life (RL) USA was asleep. However, these efforts failed for the resistance force, and added insult to injury in failing to divert enough damage from Liaoning.

Resistance Forces Flare Across Southeast Asia & the Pacific
eAustalia underwent three RWs, as Queensland, Northern Territory, and Western Australia were all targeted to wrestle control of eAustralian regions from eIndonesia. The significance of Northern Territory and Western Australia is well-known, as both regions hold invaluable high titanium reserves and have fueled eIndonesia’s resurgence as a military power. However, only the RW for Queensland seems to have any chance at encountering success, as eIndonesia is handily defending its control over their valuable titanium assets. Queensland, by comparison, is expendable so long as eIndonesia maintains control over Northern Territory and Western Australia; whether new RWs start against these pivotal regions later on Day 1050 remains to be seen.

Continuing on the trend of RWs, two were started in eMalaysia, from the eSerbian-occupied regions of Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia in the evening of Day 1048. The fight for Sarawak appeared reminiscent of the days when Sarawak was a training ground for Sol nations, although the Resistance Force in Peninsular Malaysia managed some small victories. eUSA and EDEN fighters restarted these RWs late in Day 1049, and are seeking to create a clean-sweep victory over the eSerbs by dealing another blow to compound the eSerbs' loss of Liaoning.

Poland Storms Czech Republic
Shifting to Europe, ePoland launched an invasion of neighboring eCzech Republic’s regions of Moravia and Northern Bohemia. The substantially larger ePolish population easily routed eCzech Republic’s defenses in Northern Bohemia, although the eCzechs and their allies successfully secured Moravia. Separately, eCzech Republic’s attack on neighboring eSlovakia’s Western Slovakia failed to find success and may demonstrate overextension by the eCzechs. Combined, the ePolish-eSlovak tandem is having its way on this front for the most part, with nothing to indicate that a change to that trend is coming.

Spain Moves on Aquitaine
eSpain attacked eFrance’s pivotal region of Aquitaine shortly after ePoland opened its own offensive mentioned previously. Aquitaine was held by eSpain for an extended period of time following the country’s successes in its 2009 offensive, but was recovered by eFrance and protected while the eUK occupied neighboring regions; however, with the eUK recently removed, eSpain predictably moved on the high stone haven, albeit without much success-- eFrance and its 10 allies easily batted away eSpain’s attacks throughout this campaign. If EDEN rallied to eSpain’s aid, this front could change, but EDEN mobile forces may be worn out following its fights in Liaoning.

Other Fights, and Closing
EDEN backed a RW by eBolivia targeting the eBrazilian-occupied Chuquisaca and Tarija. The battle was not seriously contested, and control of this most minor region would not affect the grand balance of power whether the resistance triumphed or not.

It is encouraging for the New World to see conflict alive and well, as it is the blood which keeps eRepublik interesting for all. The new war module has simplified war and made it more accessible to the average gamer, which is paying dividends in activity and keeping gamers engaged. With these latest battles, however, come new questions: will eChina be able to hold Liaoning, or will Phoenix challenge its control once more? Could eAustralia retake its territory from eIndonesia? Will eFrance successfully protect itself from eSpain? The answers lie in the New World’s future battles, and will be covered here.

God Bless America,
