Check and mate Eden

Day 1,583, 03:47 Published in Bulgaria Bulgaria by Melliores

Dear Eden HQ and certain presidents,

Congratulations, you finally sealed the fate of the alliance. Speaking in mathematical terms, Bulgaria leaving, aggravated and attacked by Eden members in RWs, means that Eden not only loses a certain number of damage dealt everyday, but that damage potentially will hit Eden right in their face.

If we had E+T+B before, now that will look like E+T-B in essence losing about 1 billion, 1,2 billion damage dealt every day. It is not possible to compensate for such a big change in your damage potential, no matter how many reserves the turks or greeks have, or how much gold certain players can and will buy. It is just an uphill battle you can not win.

Moreover, damage could and should not be your biggest concern. Overturning the decision made on Monday with the introduction of a new rule and proposing to impeach the newly elected Secretary general, for whom I might add all three unhappy countries actually voted for, is sending the wrong message to Eden's current and potential members. The rule of " If a country does not vote, it does not mean they abstain from voting" was put mildly, absurd. In the charter it is clearly stated that they can be only three types of votes - "In favor", "Against" and "Abstain". If no one voted "In favor" or "Against" well..... they abstain, because that is their choice or lack of.
No matter the reasoning behind the desire of the three countries to not cast a vote, they can be no way abstaining from voting can be considered as a valid way of blocking motions.

The SC impeachment is the very thing that makes Eden HQ and the Council illegitimate as ruling bodies from this moment on. If any president of the certain three countries does not like a decision taken by the Council and by most of the minor countries, they can simply impeach the SC and invent new rules to justify their misconduct, overruling any decisions taken not in their interest.

Taking this in mind, Eden will first start losing battles, then regions, and finally - its members. All thanks to certain three countries who think that their interests are the interests of the whole alliance.

Congratulations once more and good luck with explaining to the minor countries why they should impeach a SC who two weeks ago was supported by the major countries and who followed regulations giving both ample time for debate and for voting afterwards.

Thank you for your attention,
Melliores
