Charla Mediterránea [Segunda Parte]

Hoy les traigo la segunda entrega de la entrevista que tuve con arxaios, pero antes me gustaría comentarles que fue muy interesante y satisfactorio conocer más a fondo una persona como él. Desde siempre noté su gusto por eMéxico y su cariño por los eMexicanos. Él siempre te ofrece su mano para apoyarte en lo que puedas y además lo hace de una manera muy respetuosa y agradable. Entre otras cosas, puedes tener una buena charla con él y aprender muchísimo.

Como escribí anteriormente, disculpen la mala traducción 😛

Para que me tengan envidia, la segunda parte me la imaginé en este lugar:



- ¿Cómo sientes que es el eMexicano? ¿Somos algo groseros? ¿Entiendes a veces nuestro doble sentido al hablar?
- Yo creo que los eMexicanos son buenas personas. He platicado con algunos de ustedes en el IRC y es bueno saber que gente del otro lado del hemisferio está tratando de hacer el bien mientras yo duermo 😛 Cualquiera puede ser grosero, cierto, y probablemente había artículos groseros entre dinos y noobs, pero eso está en el pasado y nunca los traduje para entenderlos por completo. Ya que no hablo español, no entiendo el doble sentido en sus palabras pero si los traduzco podría "agarrar la onda" 😛

- Tenemos una cultura rica en mitos y leyendas. ¿Tienen alguna en tu pueblo natal?
- Realmente me siento muy avergonzado por no conocer mucho sobre sus mitos y leyendas, tengo que abrir un libro algún día o buscar en el internet. En Grecia tenemos muchos mitos y leyendas. Este es un ejemplo, es acerca del nacimiento de los Dioses. Pero te voy a contar una leyenda más reciente:
"Es el 29 de Mayo de 1453 cuando Constantinopla cae bajo el ataque de los Turcos Otomanos con la ayuda de los reinos europeos. El último emperador del Imperio Romano Constantino XI Paleólogo es llamado el Rey Mármol porque la leyenda dice que cuando los Otomanos entraron a la ciudad y rodearon al Rey, un ángel rescató al emperador, lo convirtió en mármol y lo colocó en una cueva debajo de la tierra, cerca de las Puertas Doradas, donde espera ser resucitado y con su espada ahuyentar a los Turcos de Constantinopla.



- ¿Puedes escribir tu frase favorita, en griego? Y luego traducirla por favor.
- Una de mis favoritas es ésta de Epicuro:
"Αν θέλεις να κάνεις κάποιον πλούσιο, μην του προσθέτεις χρήματα, να του αφαιρείς επιθυμίες."
"Si usted quiere hacer rico a alguien, no agruegue dinero, reste los deseos" (o como dicen otros: ¿Quieres ser rico? Pues no te afanes en aumentar tus bienes, sino en disminuir tu codicia.)

- ¿Te gustaría conocer más sobre nuestra cultura? Pienso que muchos eMexicanos estarían contentos de conocer más sobre ti.
- Aprender es algo divertido e interesante, Así que ¡sí! ¿Por qué no?

- A petición de los lectores, ¿Por qué "No kiss on the lips" de tu descripción de perfil? XD
Acerca de mi "Acerca", dejémoslo en misterio...

- ¿Es verdad que todas las mujeres y hombres son (físicamente) como en la película "300"? 😛
No, no todos los griegos tienen el cuerpo torneado y rasurado de los actores de la película 300. Muchos tienen panza XD



Eso ha sido todo por el momento, así que ya lo saben amig@s, agueguen a arxaios y compartamos cultura. ¿Quién sabe si después se anime a enseñarnos griego? Él quiere conocer más, ¿Por qué no en los comentarios le contamos unos mitos o leyendas? (de preferencia en inglés 😛)

Hi friends! Here is the translation of the interview. Enjoy it!

- How do you feel the Mexican is? Are we some rude? Do you understand the double meaning from our language some times? 😛
I believe Mexicans are good people . I've talked with some of you at the irc and it's good to know that at the other hemisphere people are trying to do good while i'm asleep 😛 . Anyone can be rude sure and probably there were rude articles between dinos and noobs but that is in the past and i never translated them to fully understand them. Since i don't speak spanish, i don't understand the double meaning in your words but if i translate them i might catch a hint 😛

- We have a culture so many rich in legends and myths, do you have one in your hometown?
I really feel embarrassed not to know much about your myths and legends , i have to open a book someday or make an online search . In Greece we have many myths and legends. This is an example , it's about the birth of Gods. But i will tell you about a more recent legend. It's 1453, 29th of May when Constantinople falls under the attack of the Ottomans Turks with the help of European kingdoms . The last emperor of the Roman Empire Constantine XI Palaiologos is called the Marble King because the legend says that when the Ottomans entered the city and surrounded the King , an angel rescued the emperor, turned him into marble and placed him in a cave under the earth near the Golden Gate, where he waits to be brought to life again and with his sword to drove away the Turks from Constantinople.

- Can you write your favourite phrase in greek, and then translate it?
One of my favorite phrases is this one from Epicures
Αν θέλεις να κάνεις κάποιον πλούσιο, μην του προσθέτεις χρήματα, να του αφαιρείς επιθυμίες.
Si usted quiere hacer rico a alguien, no agregue dinero, restar los deseos

- Would you like to know more from our culture? I think many Mexican people would be glad to know more from you.
Learning is fun and interesting . So yes why not !

- Another question from the public: Why "No kiss on the lips"? XD

- It is true that all women and men are (physically) like the people of 300 (the movie)? 😛
No, not all Greeks have the ripped and shaved bodies of the actors from the movie 300. Many have bellies xD
