Changes for India

Hey India,
I was reading over the wiki page for India on the eRepublik wiki, and realized it hadn't been updated for about a month and a half. I went through it and tried to clean it up as best as I could (Correct grammar, update information, add Presidents to the President list, etc.). After I was done, I submitted the updated page, and quickly read over it. What caught my eye was this:
Anthem: Jana Gana Mana
Motto: Satyameva Jayate (Truth alone triumphs)
The anthem and motto are great for RL, and they're both at the top of their categories. But I thought to myself: "This is eRepublik. It's a new year. Why not make a few changes?"
My idea is to change the national anthem and motto. No, I'm not talking about RL. I'm talking about in-game. There's no rule saying everything has to be the exact same as in RL. In fact, I'm pretty sure that India has regions like Karnataka in RL, but in eRepublik, we don't. So, why not come up with something new?
We could hold a contest. It'd get the country involved in something. We could have anthem contests, with people submitting songs/clips of songs, and motto's. The motto's don't even have to be in any Indian language. For example, it could be, "Incredible India-Where epic things happen". You see how how many ideas we can come up with?
We can even give out prizes. We could have a panel of judges. The two people who come up with the winning anthem/motto get 1st place, then the two runner ups get second place, and the next two runner ups get third place, etc. We can give out food, weapons, and even INR/Gold. The possibilities are endless!
Why not make things interesting, and switch things up? There's no harm in doing so. Think about it, leave comments about what you think, and maybe we can get this started.
Note: No, I'm not insulting the RL national anthem/motto. All I'm saying is, a new anthem/motto won't hurt us, and could be fun if you do it right.

I like the idea and it could be fun to do. But changing both of them might not be as easy as it seems unless there is a huge number of participants in the "contest" you proposed. I mean the anthem and motto is a huge deal, there is great amounts of attachment to it even though this isn't RL.

Yup. Agreed. Working on similar stuff myself. Lets do a competition on this - and as Jay said - lets involve as many people as possible. I say the prize has to be pretty big, so we can have a prize pool of say 10-15g across the board.
forget bout erepublik,
even the Rl national anthem needs to be modified, it has names of places which are in pakistan ,(the anthem was written before india was divided)
for example-
jana gana mana adhinayaka jaya hai,
bharat bhagya vidhata,
punjab , SINDH, gujarat , maratha,
sindh is in pakistan 🙁
@shohin5 U can't play with 1 billion emotions in RL. Pak regions like sindh has the seeds of our evolution, so it's still the part of india emotionally. It doesn't matter if we have control of it or not. Like a NRI with green card still consider himself as an Indian, even if he don't live in India or have citizenship.
Lets focus on competition now. I'll submit my creation within 2 days 😃
iam sorry if iam hurting any emotions but i read an article here few months back about our national anthem and decided "IT NEEDS A CHANGE". i do not remember who posted it but it did sound very upsetting. hope someone can recollect it.
